Wests Tigers in secret talks to lure Waratah Ryan Cross back

Look at his Super Rugby stats. They are not too flash. Very mediocre actually. Ahhh !! Mediocre !! Ofcourse !!!!!!!!! it all makes sense now !!!

Ryan Cross has dud knees. At 32 years old is only trying to milk us for his last pay cheque.

:deadhorse:

If you want size, try Nu Akeripa out.

Good signing…always rated him.

Big,strong,quick,great defender and extremely experienced.

He'll be great for us for the next couple of years until the youngens progress.

Yeah tuquris super rugby stats wasn't flash either but he kicked ass when he come back to the game he loved.

Its just a rumour and we haven't signed him yet.

I think he would be a good buy depending on what his asking.

As with all of these things, it all depends on the COST.

Ryan Cross for $100 000 a year and match payments = excellent signing.

Ryan Cross for $250 000 a year = horrible signing.

tigerdre has said it is NOT a big money offer for Cross and seeing as he was the one who broke the story two weeks ago before anybody else even had a clue, I'll take his info as gospel.

But you would be happy if the Tigers bring back Gallant who was also a very mediocre player too.

He has been on big money for years cant see him coming to us for peanuts. We have been exposed this year for lack of real pace out wide, we need young speed machines, we have enough experience in our backline

Ask yourselves this question,

Do you think the Dragons, the Storm or the Bronco's would ever buy a 32 year old Ryan Cross to play in their sides ??

The answer would be NO with all 3.

Can not see any value bringing a 32 year back to the NRL.

We should be going all out to secure a full back until Tesdeco (hope spelling is right) is ready for NRL.

Maybe Reddy or Lote can be a spot gap full back in the meantime.

I still would like us to sign Daniel Vidot and/or Tom Humble.

Ryan Cross will be the next Jason Moodie, Ryan O'Hara and Jason Cayless. The Fonz brings busteds to the club all the time with disasterous results.

Bring Brett Hodgson back if you want a Super 32 year old. !!!

Ryan Cross ???? He was struggling BADLY in his last year in the NRL. He would be a very VERY poor purchase. So the $150k a year we save by releasing Fifita is going to go to Ryan CROSS !?!?!

What about developing Mullaney ??

This would only ever happen at WT.[/quote

i dont understand the Mullraney situation…its either Teflon does not rate him at all...or ..he starts him in 1st grade next year

Who is 'Teflon' ?

The Fonz doesn't rate backs that are less than 6ft tall and 90 kilo's.

It will be a tragedy if Mullany is not groomed for the fullback position. Fonz is great at ruining careers before they start.

Imagine an 18 year old up and coming Billy Slater.

He would have never got a start in first grade if the Fonz was bringing him through.

Seriously ? Ryan Cross ??? :wtf

If Jake doesn't feel he is getting a go and won't be given one it is his option to leave if he finds greener pastures.

He certainly has talent but it is yet to be tested at the NRL level.

Even in State Cup he is very rocks and diamonds right now.

Well it is the Fonz's job to develop him. Fonz has a distinct inability in developing young players and he is more comfortable buying washed up has beens.

We have bought a good lot of young guys through.

Some work out and some don't.

Jake is at times frustrated but he will be the first to admit he is learning more every week in the State Cup
