Wests Tigers in secret talks to lure Waratah Ryan Cross back

On topic, the general consensus was that Utai would be a terrible signing and apart from one shocker of a game, he has been pretty reliable and turned out a few great performances. So if we pick Cross up for chicken feed I won't complain.

x2\. Everything depends on how much we pay.

Utai would have to be close to the best value for money signing in the NRL this year.

Ryan Cross if he came cheap maybe, the other rumour doing the rounds is Andrew Ryan coming over for a year or two.

Bobcat's career in the NRL has been over for at least a couple of years, he'd be best looking to ESL if he wants to remain competitive. We have a plethora of second rowers at the Tigers, no need for another.

Highly unlikely, We wouldnt be able to offer him as much as the bulldogs as they are able to offer him long serving player concessions of up to $200,000…so im guessing he would be on more than that.
He has stated he wants to stay at the bulldogs and does not want te be fit in because of the player concession either which makes it obvious that he just wants to be a bulldog.
It is more likely that he will go to england if he is not at the dogs and has been liked to moving to the same club as former team mate luke patten.

No thanks to Ryan, our forward pack looks strong. Another fast back is needed. I like Mullaney and he should of been given a chance by now.

Their is not a player in the NRL we have not been linked to. My guess unless we have a few more defections we will not be signing anymore players except for maybe a few lower grade players or u20''s players. Could be wrong but I think our cap must be almost full

easy decision, we dont need a player of his age.For the money go after a u/20s centre from another club plenty there. :crazy :deadhorse:

Ryan Cross will be the next Jason Moodie, Ryan O'Hara and Jason Cayless. The Fonz brings busteds to the club all the time with disasterous results.

Bring Brett Hodgson back if you want a Super 32 year old. !!!

now your talking bug …..but thats only if this ryan cross taalk is fairdinkum......sounds like a 1st of april story to me .....cross offers wests zero ......

Has lost considerable pace playing for the Tahs,& is unwanted for that reason in Rah Rah land.Hasnt made a clean break in years
If u thought Reddy was an ordinary signing(and he is),this bloke at 32 fits nowhere.
maybe Sheens requires a certain quorum of older players in the team that he can personally relate to?

This is a VERY accurate statement.

Ryan Cross cant even find a club Rugby team in Sydney to play in the Shute Shield for 2012\. His last year in the NRL was absolutely terrible. He was a spent unit back then.

This would be a shocking signing.

x 2 Bug PS Glad to see you stayed away from the Gap .Love your passion we just gotta find a way to redirect it from the Fonz to something positive .

Apparently the Newcastle Falcons (English rugby) have agreed to a deal with Cross, they are just waiting for his work permit to get approved. Wests Tigers was his plan B if the permit falls through.

That's a suprise. My source told me about the newcastle offer but Cross was reluctant to take it because of his young family's reluctance to relocate overseas.
The money was probably to good to refuse cause we are not offering him a big contract.
Good luck to him either way
