Wests Tigers Jersey's 2019..

Without starting a go to here….

The orange is far too "Out there" I agree on that.

Western Suburbs colours were "Black and White."

Balmain colours were "Black and Gold."

Should not the Wests Tigers colours be "Black, Gold and White"?

Just saying here .... ORANGE is not GOLD by any stretch of the imagination.

If the joint venture is fair dinkum then the jerseys should be:

Black predominately with white and gold for half the games.

Gold predominately with black and white for the half.

How difficult is it?

BUT THIS IS NOT A BALMAIN V WESTS ARGUMENT. It is a jersey thread

Agreed. It wasn’t me who turned it into a Wests v Balmain argument. The ones arguing and claiming as fact that WA deliberately left out the orange to faze out Balmain did.
\

Are people saying "I want an orange jersey so we look more like Balmain used to"? I can't remember reading anything like that.

No, but it’s not hard to read between the lines when they make claims like the one above.

Spot on.
White, gold and black. Simple.
By the images of the 2019 black jersey posted it at least looks like the club has gone with a goldish sort of colour instead of the fluro orange. That's a start.
I think they probably got the orange idea from the Cincinatti Bengals in the NFL. Orange stands out much more than gold but the rusty-looking gold colour presents better on our jerseys I reckon.
And Newcastle should be told by the NRL that they are only permitted to wear their hi-vis jersey once per season on the day that they honour the coal-miners.
Or else where does it end as far as clubs having totally different colours on their jerseys than what their club colours are? Maybe WT will start wearing a "rainbow jersey" every other week made up of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet (good ol' ROYGBIV from primary-school!) to honour the GBLT movement?
Does anybody know if there are guidelines set out by the NRL in regards to what colours a club can use outside of their primary club colours? Judging by the slapshod way the NRL operates, probably not…..just the usual dog's-brekkie scenario.

Heres a gold jersey...its not our colour

I highly doubt there are any guidelines. Why would there be?

Why would there be? I thought it was pretty obvious.
But.
So there is nothing stopping WT from wearing a red, white and blue jersey against the Roosters then? Or a maroon and white one a few weeks later against Manly? Surely clubs are not allowed to trot out in random-coloured jerseys whenever they so choose? If not, can't wait until we run out in the green and purple :unamused:

There probably isn’t. Do clubs copyright their colours?

That is not the Balmain Gold and before you say - Tough.

It is no different than if we were to start wearing white, orange and charcoal.

Charcoal is not technically black is it?

I liked the 80's Phillips jersey, that gold was great.

The new jerseys are Okay.
Better than the bulldogs and knights… Look like bootleg best and less cheapies.

Still not as good as our best ones.... The 2010 ones. Amazing.

I may buy one of these. I will wear my orange proton jersey until a new mostly orange one can replace it.

Whilst I did support Balmain, for me this is not a Balmain thing and simply my preference from our array of colours.

White is a colour I associate with st George and the bulldogs. Black is nice, but other clubs have black like the warriors and panthers. Orange stands out and identifies me as a tigers fan in a packed stadium. I like that.

That philips jersey was orange, and charcoal is dark grey :deadhorse:

Those 2010 jerseys were so good. The jerseys since have been poor in comparison
