I can answer....said Luciano was coming along very well. Great speed and hands for his size.

Packers just about to start running. Hoping for big things now he is fit.

Interesting re talau, talking him for wing or centre but didnt sound like he was going to start. Kept saying not to rush him and he has plenty of time.

wsa there anything on the development players and how they are progressing?

The usual 'we don't want to single out any individual but we're pleased with their progress and some will be joining the nrl ranks during the season or in coming seasons...

for someone who didnt hear it do you mind expanding on these please?

what did they say about Luciano?
how is packers rehab coming along?
where and when will talau play?

I'm sure Tigers will upload the whole thing pretty quickly today?

But briefly:
- Luciano - said he's a great guy, agile but big frame, looking to take his game to the next level. Really keen to be at the Tigers, which is the kind of player they are looking for. Came up because Webster was talking about needing to find mobile forwards, who could also put on weight, but mobility was foremost.

- Packer - starts running on the zero-G thing next week. Had a foot operation last year and has been rehabbing. Didn't have his best 2019 but is keen to regain his 2018 form and contribute.

- Talau - wing or centre. Webster wants fans and media to realise he's still a young bloke with a long way to go, and they shouldn't be heaping expectation on him so soon. Tigers will bring him along slowly, but they foremost see him as a winger or centre, but also Tigers already have players competing for those positions who will make it hard for Tommy to cement his place.

edit: sorry missed Simon's answer to this already.

Also pro-tip, don't go online at the time the live stream kicks off, you are just asking for buffering and volume of service issues. Wait 20 minutes then pick the stream up from the start (it is still live, ahead of you), so if there are issues, Tigers have already sorted them out, or you can skip ahead and catch up with the feed.

Now, you tell us Chief!

Guess we'll be good for next time.

So long as you can cop being a little behind the live play (e.g. spoilers from friends), I do this for all sports streaming services. Live services, by definition, cannot buffer ahead (more live than live?!), so they are prone to drop-out issues either on your end or on the provider's end.

If you are behind the live play, your software can buffer ahead much more significantly, which takes care of most of the natural hiccoughs in a live stream.

For example, think about how often you might get little issues on Skype (live stream) vs Youtube (not live), where Youtube automatically reaches ahead 10-20% into the video.

So on services like Kayo, start the match about 15-20 mins after the real-life kickoff, then you can FFwd through any large breaks in play, like injuries, and also FF through half-time. And Kayo gets more capacity to buffer ahead because you are behind the live play. Then as you reach towards the end of the match, if you are skipping the breaks, you tend to catch up to almost live by the 80th minute.

Only issue with this strategy - very very hard to watch a tight match without spoilers if you know the game has already finished live!!!

If it doesn't matter where we play why can't they decide on 1 venue?

Doesn't matter for on-field performance.

Webster said Tigers need to perform at any location to be a finals team.

You know why they can't have just 1 venue, and for the next 3 years at least that won't change due to the 10-year deal done with Events NSW.

Sound is still garbage especially with Webster ..is a bit better

Pascoe always looks ‘very’ relaxed at these things. Like a bloke who has just landed on a tropical island relaxed…

Not criticising that, just an observation. The other CEOs all present much more like corporate CEOs, our bloke presents like a character from The Big Lebowski…

That could be good or bad, depending on what sponsors / players are looking for.

Unless he is straight out selling us all a load of rhetoric, it would seem no signings are imminent aside from Musgrove.

Sound was terrible.

Honestly, it is kind of embarrassing. How can every amateur youtuber stream in 4K with great sound...but a professional footy club in 2020 (almost) looks like a video from the first days of the internet. Faulty mics, mixed volume levels for different speakers, streaming pauses...

Is it just we have no money for decent equipment or we don't have any people familiar with technology?

Judging my Pascoe's hair/ look, they arn't spending on the makeup department either.

A guy in my office who doesn't know Wests or Pascoe walked by my desk and said who's the wino and why they put him in a suit.

I agree.

All they need is a test run. Every person who is familiar with IT would do one. Amateurs.

Couldn't care less how Pascoe dresses or looks. In my long business career some of the most incompetent single digit IQ executives I worked with, and for ,wore $1,000 suits, drove flash cars and held degrees from prestigious universities. If Pascoe can put us in the black financially-as he seems to have done-and attract sponsorship, he's done his job. Apart from his well intentioned stuff-up with Farah, I think he's done a pretty good job as our Club's Chief Executive.

Are we in the black this year?

Believe so!

Where was that reported? I remember the news article this time last year saying we were set to report a $100 k profit.
Do they publish the P&L at all?
