Wests Tigers Live Q&A

Not sure what people were expecting from this but I don't think we have announced any signings in a q&a. Justin has a good poker face if he was lying when he said there has been no contact with Latrell.

Didn't smoking gun say in a post a couple of days ago that talks had been going on with LM in the last 48hrd

Yet Pascoe said there has been no contact since we pulled our offer

That's the line their been running with they only want to speak with to playerswho want to be here and if LM wants to be here give us a call

No hell no way would they announce LM at a Q&A. For starters the sponsors and media would be annoyed - that one would come via a big old press conference, with LM all decked out in WT gear and massive sponsor placards in the back.

I thought Q&A was fine, I think Webster has a very good speaking manner, probably more forthcoming / expressive than Madge.

I don't know why anyone would expect "different" answers to the standard questions questions, but also, they obviously weren't listening to the content.

- Webster talking about 2020 preseason and how it's different having trained through the finals, because Madge didn't have a full pre-season in control last year
- Jacob Liddle's recovery
- how Luciano is progressing
- potential signing for this week from Pascoe
- Benji and whether he might take up an off-field role when retires
- Latrell Mitchell contract situation
- Russell Packer rehab
- what aspects of 2019 were a success, what weren't
- where and when will Tommy Talau play in 2020

If you've heard these comments in public from Tigers before then you must be a time traveller.

The only rehashed ground was revenue streams, home ground situation. And as Pascoe said, why do people ask what the aim is, the aim is always to win the comp.

Also pro-tip, don't go online at the time the live stream kicks off, you are just asking for buffering and volume of service issues. Wait 20 minutes then pick the stream up from the start (it is still live, ahead of you), so if there are issues, Tigers have already sorted them out, or you can skip ahead and catch up with the feed.

Whomever asked the question about giving benji a job should be shot. Do they really want to try and get us caught out for this again?! Luckily Pascoe played it with a straight bat.

Questions are vetted, no way Tigers go into the Q&A not knowing what the questions are going to be.

My thoughts....didnt get too much from it.

The Latrell answer didnt look good re him signing but do we believe them??

The Bankwest answer pissed me off, pretty much BS we need to win anywhere answers and then put the onus on the fan to make it our fortress. I went last year when we played them and it was packed and we were clearly out numbered. Maybe hold more tix for tiger fans.

Interesting that we may have a signing this week, mentioned speed a lot.Maybe its Johnson or JAC??

And also mentioned about players wanting to be there a lot, im assuming this was a LM up yours.

Not a lot in the interview...3 out of 10. and 1 out of ten for the volume.

for someone who didnt hear it do you mind expanding on these please?

* what did they say about Luciano?
* how is packers rehab coming along?
* where and when will talau play?

I can answer....said Luciano was coming along very well. Great speed and hands for his size.

Packers just about to start running. Hoping for big things now he is fit.

Interesting re talau, talking him for wing or centre but didnt sound like he was going to start. Kept saying not to rush him and he has plenty of time.

Bit like a WT's season really ..when we need to be making a noise around September the silence is deafening performance wise

The news on the packer situation seemed good. They confirmed the club and Packer decided early on in 2019 that he needed surgery and rehab for multiple injuries. About to start assisted running. He looks much leaner so will be interesting to see his progress over the next few months.

Did they say if he will be healthy enough to start the season?

If Packer does get back to form we have a handy prop rotation. As well as Musgrove!

Who would we be looking at - Packer, Twal, Musgrove and Mikaele?

They didn't

SUrely if he is starting to run now he will be ready by March, sounded to me like they are thinking he will be ready to go.
