Wests Tigers Lower Grade Venues

Get a petition going
We want our Reserve grade and first grade teams to play same venue same day when games are on at Campbelltown , Leichhardt , and any other place we play in Sydney , We can only try and force the hand with numbers , remember the media love this shit so it will get traction once a few hundred sign up , Even PVL would be good with this , send him a copy

Where is the game day info published these days?

The nrl site and only gives me the nrl team lists and kick off time.

The wests tigers site and I get the team list.

Ticketek provides no further insight.

Yeah totally agree, it's a special day so have all the grades on.

But it stands out like dogs balls that Wests need to be on at Lidcombe (Wah wah wah) in front of a few hundred people, we know who came up with that idea. FMD

I wrote to the club asking why but we already know.
Mate the games at Lidcombe are marked off on the calendar, too important to give up, sausage sizzle and Resches silver bullets, happy days.

Haven't heard of a Silver Bullet for a while - Didn't know they were still around...
Like getting a KB at Henson, Feels nostalgic.
The Bullets are definitely around and there is even a Reschs Appreciation Society that has events, a key ring that gets you discounted Reschs as most establishments and a passport do document your Reschs adventures. Resch House has opened up in Sydney (unfortunatley have to to go) where you can get it on tap along with an Edmund Resch special brew from back in the day.

KB still has special releases going as does DA. Tehy sell out quick though so you need to be in the know.

I had two slabs of bullets delivered to my door on Monday, in a rural location, for $55 each free delivery!

Dont know

They used to provide all info but i guess when its just one game theres bugger all info needed

Ok so I need to make a partial apology to HBG on what I said previously. I've had it confirmed to me by the club that the nswrl dictates the draw, clubs don't have a say in it directly.
Our preference has previously been noted for Lidcombe oval as our base and as such the nswrl implemented this.

The nswrl draw was also released before the NRL announced its plans for a 6 man bench, so this breakdown in comms means the nswrl has shot itself in the foot a bit and some players will miss out on game time . But you'd like to think changes could be made if far enough in advance....

Still, our preference for NSW Cup games should be to preceed the NRL match wherever possible, unless weather intervenes. HBG need to support this approach for the good of both the Magpies and WT.

I thought someone said flegg played before us.. so its just the nrl game then.. got it...

Here's this weekends matches.

Saturday
NRL - Leichardt Oval 3pm
KOE - Lidcombe 2pm
SG BALL - Lidcombe 12.25pm (wests)
MATTS - Lidcombe 10.55am (wests)

Sunday
Flegg - Leichardt Oval 3pm (Wests Tigers)
SG BALL - Leichardt Oval 1.30pm
MATTS - Leichardt Oval 12pm (balmain)

Is there a reason they couldnt have played all the Sunday Leichardt games on Saturday?

I guess ticketing could be an issue and you'd have people sticking around for nrl...

Just trying to figure out why we wouldn't make a full day of it. Also exciting for the younger players to stick around and see their idols play.

Exactly. Why couldn't Flegg, at least, be played on the same ground, same day before NRL or, as someone else said, KOE Cup even better. The ideal scenario would be Flegg, followed by KOE and then NRL. This should be the case at all home games, no matter which venue. It'd be like the good, old days of Under 23, Reserves and First Grade that were so much fun to watch and provided excellent ticket value. I'm sure the crowds and coffers would swell. Matts and Ball can play consecutively at either Lidcombe or Leichhardt on a different day. The really keen fans, who live close by, or who have lots of time, can watch all age levels.
But, of course, this all makes far too much sense for it to happen.....

Whoops, as someone said earlier, it's all about the closed minded HBG fools and their selfish wishes.

Yeah sorry I meant in the context that if I go to a wests tigers match and there is matches before, time gates open etc. I thought someone said that flegg was before the nrl game, just a misunderstanding. Doesnt look to be many double headers this year anyway.

No good bagging out the clubs ? /pressure makes change.
The sub structure of an oval has changed from an 80's clay firmed concrete base to sand based self-articulating shag pile . 3 decades ago councils stated ,their land/oval will be shared across the community
Lack of funds etc ,to maintain for 1 entity
League tried to gain control, but councils as they should stood firm for the community
PVL shot his mouth off with an outright lie, that every club will have Reggie's played b4 NRL at the same ground either b4 or after covid
Only club i know that owns their own oval is Cronulla
