I agree - We should have truck loads more members than we have.

We have our home grounds spread and packages split geographically to cater accordingly however…

I believe an inhibiting factor may be that a significant segment of our support base is young families (like me and mine) and this adds all sorts of logistic and scheduling challenges.

In the End - Membership is only worthwhile if you can get to multiple games (Unless your like HRHarry and you got a few extra $$ to spare)

Agree. It's the cost and the commitment factor. The pricing is at a level that if you sign-up for say a 6 game package you really need to get to all six games otherwise you're behind the 8 ball. The non-game/entry level packages really need to be improved. IMO anyway…

Yeah great well I joined on Wednesday arvo but my membership number won't let me log into the Members only site and they have gone on holidays for 2 weeks - a bit disappointing as I would really like to read the 2010 report but other then that happy to be on board

If it's anything like the report that was mailed out, you're not missing too much. This is another area where the club let's itself down - the items you get with your membership are pretty average in my opinion. From memory it's a cheap looking "scarf", a bumper sticker, a lanyard and the discount vouchers (which are tough to use unless you go to the shop in person and require you to spend money anyway). Even Balmain Football Club give you a keyring for your $11 every year. A WT keyring and a decent poster for the kids would be nice. I haven't checked - maybe you get a poster already but imagine if the WT send an autographed poster of a kid's favourite player as part of the the cubs packages. Cost to the club - minimal, but how stoked would the kid be? Wouldn't be hard to have a section to nominate the kid's favourite player. Sure Benji and Robbie might get RSI but if it meant more members they'd get over it…

Be wary of sticking the "bumper sticker" on your car though, previous stickers have not been

Yeah I forgot about the cap which again I argue looks pretty cheap and tacky. Don't remember getting a keyring but it's possible. I still maintain for the money they expect for no game memberships, the stuff they give you is pretty crappy.

Well like I said, things like some signed posters wouldn't cost much. They could do that for the kids. They could also do some more members promotions especially ones that realise that not all members have assigned seats. I get the GA membership because I go with different people to different games.

I can live with cheap crap from China being the members goodie bag, I joined to help not to get a sticker hat keyring etc though my locker at work is getting a good collection of stickers.
10000 members is what were aiming for, I'd hate for the club to be sending out top notch stuff, its cost a bomb and fees would escalate dramatically

It doesn't have to be top notch, just something that when you see someone else with it makes you think "I'd like one of those, maybe I should become a member". Ditch the hat and make the scarf better or vice versa.

It doesn't have to be top notch, just something that when you see someone else with it makes you think "I'd like one of those, maybe I should become a member". Ditch the hat and make the scarf better or vice versa.

I like the idea of the signed posters for the kids, but how about for us older fans, signed pictures of random Magpies/Tigers greats, limited edition style? Maybe limit them to 100 per player??? That wouldn't cost much, and I'm sure the oldies wouldn't mind helping the club out….

I think the multiple grounds issue effects membership size. Yeah, everyone wants to help the team out, but I, for one, still want value for money. My only certainty is Leichhardt, so I got a Silver Claws package for those games. I'd be lucky to get to half of the remaining "home" games.
Limited edition signed posters of individual players sounds good to me, as long as I got Robbie Farah!!
