Hey fellas, just a second.
Sure, I hear loud and clear about the beauty and spirituality of Leichhardt in the context of what's being said.
But.
Before Leichhardt, there was Birchgrove which, in its day, was the original home ground etc.
So ALL ovals have their place in the evolution and traditions etc.
Then, concerning another club, Orana Park became Campbelltown Stadium to accommodate the Magpies when that club re-located in the 80s.
Still, that oval had its own past, its own tradition from years before, where it was "the" ground for its players and fans going back in time.
And that heritage lives now into 2012.
So I reckon that there needs to be respect for all grounds and for their players and fans, in all eras.
(And I know there was no disrespect in what was said in this thread - it's just that everyone feels "attached" to their ground, as they should.)
