Wests Tigers powerbroker lauds Taylor...

I've heard it all now. Taylor as our long term coach.

To add to that Robbie is the best hooker in the state, there is no feud but it's better for the team if he isn't playing and that is somehow a positive.

Have to agree with Bailey,JT has stood his ground regarding RF and has come out on top with the team now almost in the top 8,just goes to show how good Potters judgement was in regards to RF contract..
In the end the coach moulds his team and JT obviously is looking to the future long term especially with his patience of the young halves..as far as extending JTs contract,I will reserve my judgement untill mid 2017..

this seasons results, irrespective if we make the 8 or not,has been really good considering the dramas constantly in the media…well done team, well done coaching staff.....

Fluff piece backing the coach really. All it does is send the message that everyone within the club is on the same page and they are happy with the direction.

It's positive, why is anyone getting worked up over this?

To me, what he's saying is irrelevant. Why is a random board member (he's never been & never will be a power broker) talking out of school in the lead up to the biggest game the club has had in a few years? He wasn't even on the WT board until a couple of months ago. Pascoe & Go ought to be extremely peeved about people talking to the media - completely unnecessary, and comes across as Bailey wanting to take some limelight in a big week for the club.

Jeez benji, some might see your opinion as extremely screwed.
Whatever your stance on Robbie….surely support from the board toward the coach of your team can only be a good thing?
The power broker thing is merely a media headline, hardly anything to get worked up over...maybe they sought this particular random board member as many people remember him from his years on TV.
Pascoe and Go I would put money on them having endorsed this before hand and afterwards...hardly ''mostly sunny Mike'' seeking the limelight.
As for JTs future...myself I would be waiting until mid next year...if hes going well possibly a season extension...too soon to be talking long term imo

You mean support from "A "board member
Means no more than any of the other stories on either side.

The board better hope that Parra fall out of the sky again and the big boys don't spend their way back to the top , if they keep Taylor..

You know what they say when the board comes out and backs you lol.

Cant see this approved by the club if he has specifically said its his opinion. How could Ayoub let this article through, according to some he approves every article that gets written about the tigers.

Anyways focus on the game boys, go the tigers!!!!!

It's all good. No ones getting worked up, as far as I can detect. I questioned the timing , as the media has a habit of twisting any statement from the club mentioning JT and RF into click bait for their websites.

"The Robbie Farah situation is regrettable but the thing to remember is it's not a feud, it's about his assessment of Robbie in terms of what he can contribute to the team.

"That's another reason why Jason Taylor really does stand tall at the moment in terms of what he's been able to achieve with the team, particularly given we've been without the state's best hooker and in recent times without [the injured] James Tedesco as well."

Is this not a complete contradiction in the same statement? JT assessed Robbie and what he can contribute to the team which resulted in Robbie being dropped. OK, I'm with you
Then JT can stand tall because he's achieved things with the team without Robbie. Nup. Lost me.

I would have preferred , Farahs deal is complete , We have also Retained ET for 3 years club will announce all at 2 pm today

Haha well spotted, yeah you can't afford plaudits based on that logic.

I agree, well spotted, it would have been better if he had of just told us what the weather was going to be on Sunday.

They need to get back to a rule of just the Chairperson or CEO commenting…
It's a problem when you have someone in a board position who grew up with a desire to be in the spotlight.

A board member has to be grounded enough to know it's not about them, its about the business.
He can't be in the media pre-empting decisions like this without it going through the board!!

I know I labour the point... but this restructure is going to be the worst thing to happen to us. It won't be overnight, but eventually the factions and ego-maniacs will return to drive us backwards.

Geezus. A board member approached for comment on the coach, he gives the coach a deserved rap for our form over the back end of the yr, and its greeted with hysterics.
