I personally don't think Jason Taylor is the long term answer to the Wests Tigers coaching job and I certainly would not be signing him to an extension to at least half way through next year (see how we are going then).

I think Jason Taylor has done reasonably well this year and if he continues to improve the side next year he would deserve an extension.

I have a feeling next year that many of the current clubs behind us on the ladder in Souths, Easts, Parramatta and Manly will all be much stronger sides next year. I would hate to give Jason Taylor an extension now and if he was to finish 14-16 next year have another coach we need to pay out after we would rightly sack him.

It's all pretty stock stabdard PR stuff. Pleased with the club's ladder position, coach doing well, Robbie situation well handled. You could interview any of the board and they'd be reading from the same hymn book.

We don't need board members giving their personal opinion about Farah and Taylor the week before our biggest game.

Of course the pro Taylor brigade are saying his comments are A ok, but we don't need his personal opinion in the press. Board members should come out and make a statement as one or just get on with their job.

Agreed Eddie. I'm a member of your, so called, pro Taylor brigade, and I think Bailey should keep his mouth shut. It is not his role to make gratuitous comments about the team's performance and the future of the coach.

It worries me that he was a member of the previous dysfunctional board. Going forward, we need everyone to understand their roles, and his is not to grandstand in front of the media.

On the other you have farah criticising and whining publicly about the coach, and his agent sinking the boot into the club at every opportunity

What a weird alignment.

Bailey of The Magpies, the cashed up strength of the JV, praises Taylor for, among other things, putting Farah (a Leichhardt/Balmain boy) in his place but at the same time attributes Taylor to developing the stardom of Mitchell Moses.

Moses is the nephew of Benny Elias who, through a clear lack of talent in property development, played a leading role in the demise of the Tigers Club at Rozelle.

The sad financial state of Balmain Tigers (thanks very much Benny) has led to the demise of the Balmain Tigers component of the JV and given power and profile to the likes of Bailey.
