He could call the clean-out a “crocodile roll”, removing the dead wood, resetting the culture and hopefully leaving fewer people around to leak the next boardroom argument to the media.

Or we could scrap that idea and continue contending for wooden spoons, because apparently having a predominantly black home jersey and a NSW Cup team playing out of Lidcombe Oval is the real definition of success.

Probably correct, but I can't imagine even Elon Musk with all of his Trillion of Dollars offering HBG anything above A$70 Million (maybe A$50 Million in their current state of disarray).

Basically the club is stuffed under the current set up and it would take a person with a lot of money who is willing to spend it with little hope of making a return anytime soon.

Because of our performances for 95% of our existence we have to pay way over the odds for players, coaches and administrators. So even if a private owner came in, he will struggle to get a competitive roster together, with the limitations of the salary cap and our reputation.

Not sure there is a road out of our gloom, but I guess one thing is for sure..The HBG road is definitely the wrong one

I'm sure that if something like that was ever attempted and looked like being a success, then surely some spiteful individual or group would come along and sabotage a radical plan like that.

I say let's play it safe and keep contending for wooden spoons and those other things that you have suggested, you know, those things that we are comfortable with and have a track record of being able to achieve.

With the Holman Barnes Group on the nose with many of the old Balmain and current Wests Tigers supporters, is now the time for serious talks to take place between the NRL, HBG and all WT stakeholders regarding possible Private Ownership?
If HBG were to consider offering up the Wests Tigers NRL Licence to a Private Owner it could be a win/win for them and supporters, with a current estimated value being thrown around at between

If the right owner with a long-term commitment and sufficient financial resources took over, the Wests Tigers could become one of the biggest success stories in the NRL. They have a huge supporter base, a rich nursery in Sydney West and South West and a well-known brand. With stable leadership and sustained investment, they have the potential to become a consistent finals contender and eventually a premiership- winning club again.
A proviso (IMO) would be that serious WT fans could purchase shares so that they would have some influence over the club's governance.
Surely current WT supporters would not have any concern over the culture being weakened as it is currently rotten to the core?
