i think playing at ANZ is a good option long term, and if Dave Smith is successful with boosting memberships over the next 3-4 years from 220k to 440k+ then every club will be recording 20k+ games at ANZ, if not 25k which is actually a decent atmosphere. it is a poor one when 10-15k rock up but 25+ is good in my experience.

I'm so tired of this. Its hard to support your local team when its clear they don't give a crap about you, the fans, or the area. Worse than that they're actually annoyed by the locals. We're just not a club of the people anymore. We're some kind of mutant plaything for second rate, out of work executive officers and pompus wannabe Board Members who know zip about anything. We sell out our jersey until its a bogan billboard but still we have no money to pay out a Coach, or pay fees on our grounds! jeebus.
What is WT without Ctown. Without your Hodgos, Skandos, Gibbs' and Fultons? What is it without that old westie in his golstar magpies jersey he bought 20 years ago standing on the hill swearing at the ref with 4 cans of Draught in two hands. If you can't enjoy a game at CS as much as at LO then you don't know what your doing. I'm not saying they're the same, I love both.. because they are proper places to watch rugby league. Not some god awful cavern like ANZ.

Maybe its kinda handy for a few of the battlers out there that 3 weeks in a season you dont have to spend 3 and a half hours getting you and your x amount kids to a game. No-one seems to understand that any more. No-one cares about that any more.

Lets hope for those applauding any future move to ANZ, the club doesn't squander the money it gets this time .... Because if they blow it again, I don't see any other lifelines to save us.

The multi-million "gift" from the NRL was certainly squandered,most of it on overpriced,over-the hill(sorry Terry) players.The JV,IMO,has been poorly run from day 1,2005 got a lot of poorly skilled people,on & off the field, a lot of breathing room but we are paying the penalty for it now in many aspects..My 2c.

The squandered opportunity to capitalise after 2005 should have seen a cleanout and re-structure.
The warning signs were there but not obvious to a fanbase so used to utter ineptness and unrecognisable sponsors that we didn't know what we were missing out on

Truth is different management would not have made a diff.
The team came 2nd last and should've won a comp a couple of years ago.
And half the JV has got financial issues.
Sad thing is the club has lost all its cult status.

I think Wests Tigers are making a mistake by decreasing the number of games at Leichardt and Campbelltown. The fans are from these areas, let them watch their team at home, not at a souless and only partially full stadium in the city. 10K at either Campbelltown or Leichardt has atmosphere, 10k at Homebush feels empty and passionless…
