Wests Tigers Sack Jason Taylor - OFFICIAL..

Rothfield never went into anywhere as much as this when Cronulla were in deep performance enhancement trouble a couple of years ago.

I think you missed Lidcombe Magpies point. It is almost entirely Bennys fault that Balmain has no votes on the board. It was Benny that was responsible for the horrific Rozelle Village disaster which has been respoonsible for all of Balmains financial woes and therefore losing their votes on the board.

LOL…the irony wasnt lost on me.
Someone should tell him solariums arent good for you these days, the eye & cheek lift though has taken 10 years off him.
Dont know why I watch that trash....I swear Rottfield was making it up as he was going along, like a kid telling porkies to his mates and getting encouragement from their interest...hes a sad mofo

Apart from backdoor Benny and his rant…..
The best bit of irony from Rothfield the drunken idiot was when he mentioned how Pascoe wanted the CEO job at Penrith, but was overlooked by Gus Gould as he knows talent! So in effect, the Tigers got "second best or leftovers". He forgot to mention that Gould then appointed his heir apparent. Wait for it. Corey Payne.....who lasted 3 months... good call Gus you idiot. Better call Rothfield you drunken imbecile.

good memory swordy

Rothfielld reminded me of a child making it up as he went along…cringeworthy stuff, 360 is NRLs ACA - garbage

Lol really inept description of that show. 100% wrong. Take your lies elsewhere

The bit that got me was that Buckets negotiated Farah's exit with a farewell at Liechhardt, Farah plays his 250th and moves on at years end (2016). Pascoe agrees everyone is happy, so JT drops him so that can't happen, typical JT and exactly why I never liked the bloke

And thats when he lost the shed in my opinon.

No he lost the shed, when he walked in and said "hi I'm JT your new head coach"

Just trying to be funny! I chuckled at least.

I'm sure Farah will be dropping off the Centrelink forms to JT's place in the morning .

The Myth is finally laid to rest .

And his ego wouldn't let him back down, cost him his job in the end, in my opinion his ego and poor man manager skills was always gonna be his undoing. I have said this since we hired the bloke, took longer than I hoped but we got there in the end. Can't wait for sunday now, and for the coach to be announced.

Tried to play hard ball Coach while the players had other things in mind.

Yep sacrificed 2016 to get one up on a player and now those who publically backed his decision have knifed him as well…i bet he cried. He looks like a cryer

Don't be so sure he'll never get another NRL gig. Anytime a team needs a clean out he might be the man to call. He cleared out the deadwood here and now he moves on. He's pretty much this era's Brian Smith. A hatchet man.

WOW!! The players have sent the last 3 coaches packing.

Have they? Not these same players.

Tim Sheens: Packed by entire team for letting Chris H and Beau R go (and considering Chris H's performance at the Sharks I have to agree. Beau was hitting form as a winger).

Mick Potter: Gordon Tallis is the idiot responsible, seriously if he did to the dogs what he did to the tigers that guy would have a flare up his arse by now. He stuffed up Robbie and put him on the spot. No Robbie is a player and maybe while he should know better, he is a damn player not a media manager. I totally understand Wayne Bennett saying NO to interviews. From that point Mick was doomed. Not the players fault.

Jason Taylor: 4 different players have to think about their career next year. Their Game theory plan of all signing with the one agent is either a greedy mastermind from the 4 or a genuine desire to play here together…. I can't tell which. I am just glad that Woods got added to that group because I wouldn't want teddy, Moses and Brooks forcing out Woods over cap pressure.

So if they are greedy would they want Taylor out like this? No Taylor is not key to them milking it, he is rather irrelevant. If you are for the club and are planning to stay for say 3-8 years. Then I could see them saying "I don't like X" or "I like X". If Taylor was making a growing env. for them they would want him, if he is making the Tigers seem worse then it was under Sheens or Potter, then I can see why they would want him gone.

Terrific headline. Very apt.

I'd agree with you if Paul wasn't such a whiney [This word has been automatically removed].
Shows me is spineless. He had ample time to say it to his face.
Read the article, it's a complete butthurt meltdown.

Although the story I heard was that back then Bellamy already knew Tigers were a dysfunctional group and wasn't interested in that nonsense. Bellamy and Ian Millward if I remember correctly, both turned it down and we ended up with Sheens who was languishing post-Cowboys.

My Uncle was working for the Club back then,Bellamy was not offered the job, there may have been off-the-books meetings arranged by a Director or 2 but he was simply not interested. Not sure what the story was about Millward but Gus Gould accepted the position of Coach but wanted a $1 more a season than the highest paid Player,Terry Hill, the Board in their wisdom decided they couldn't afford him.
This merger has been a mess since Day 1,as Alan Jones said at the time when you put 2 struggling Clubs together you don't solve problem you multiply them.Lots of the Dramas never made it to the public arena,if they did all of us would have a different view of the merger. Its just a shame to see a great Club like Balmain, with assets almost double their debt levels,go down the drain because of greed, smoke & mirrors and Dickheads making decisions.
Anyway with Wests almost in full control perhaps there may be stability in the Wests Tigers
in the future but you can't blame the Coach every time there is a bad patch,Taylor was Coaching a side that were majority Reserve Graders.
