Nah ….keep him for 1 more week ...
Sack the imposter at 1/2 time at Leichhardt !

Have Farah present him with his severance cheque !

No no no no no :frowning:

"You can either forfeit your contract and leave immediately, or you'll be running the water bottles for the remainder of the season. Regardless of how your replacement performs"

I love it
Send him to reggies to run water bottles. He will regret what he did to Farah then.

A vast majority feel sending Farah off was a great move.
I doubt JT regrets it for a single second.

JT was Go's sacrifical lamb to get Farah out. She didn't want to make it too obvious so gave him a few games to self destruct this year. He willingly obliged and she no longer has any need for him.

Well well well welllllll

I said yesterday it was only week 3
Today I couldn't be happier if this news is actually true

The team did not get 1mm better under this guy
He ousted a club legend out of spite
He got rid of former players from the organization out of spite and the whole time kept saying 'this is what's good for the club'

In actual fact he did more damage to this club single handed than anyone before and I dare say after …..

Moving forward, the club has to look at an experienced NRL coach.
Someone who has been around or apart of winning cultures with the nrl .... someone who can mentor these young guys, make them better, attract players and has a basic level of decency as a human !
Anything less and shit this shop down once and for all . It will save everyone of us fans years more of this ameture crap that's been served over the last 3 years ......

Good riddance and hopefully this is the last time that fool is associated with this club !

If nothing else, when (not if) he goes, we can get into some decent threads without the same guys saying he is a maggot, insipid, i told you so, i knew he was crap and no one else did sso im a legend, blah blah blah.

And if we go better, thats great!

And without the same people defending his every move then turning on him once they realised everything they said in relation to him over the past couple of years is wrong.

They defended him in right and wrong like he was some messiah or something. Would have to be up there with Anasta as the worst signing (coach or player) the club has ever made.

two words, Brian Smith.
Like him or not, if you want a coach who will shake things up, and give the club a clean out, drop non performing players, then he is the man.

Well he should because I have no doubt that his obsession with RF was responsible for some of the poorest decisions he has made and effectively, slowly but surely has contributed to his demise. All he had to do was coach the squad that he was given, instead he divided it , created drama, and weakened it. There was never any evidence to support that RF was not towing the line when it all blew up, he instigated the problem and we all suffered for it. Two wasted years treading water.
But we got rid of Farah and it was worth it because …things have really changed

Maybe some people just want stability. A long term goal without changing coaches every 1.5- 2 years.

This will be our 4th coach in 5 years. Great.
Coaches also don't like job instability so good luck getting someone good, it's a toxic job that's never safe.

I've gotta say, most people on here are a lot more confident than I am that sacking Taylor is the solution. He had us in 9th last year, which I thought was a solid result considering he's never had money to buy players and we've only made the finals three times in our 16 years as a club.

Hopefully we're backing the right horse with the "Fab Four".

The club pandered to Robbie. He was removed by Taylor to stem his influence, that's a fact.
Now we have the club turning the tables back to pandering to these kids.
The club is petrified to lose them, the money invested in them would be wasted.
JT will be sacrificed and we will be back to the norm.

I really pray for the spoon this year. That's how we get out of this mess.

I personally felt that as the coach he should have had free reign to do as he pleases, that includes being able to follow through on his plans be it for better or for worse as they are his decisions for him to live and die by (this was a massive issue I had when Potter was coach.)

Obviously for the third year running we're seeing no change, the problems are not limited just to JT but it is quite clear he will not get this group to perform, nor will he hold those responsible for poor performances to account. May as well give him the bullet now, and salvage the year as best they can. Even if they don't turn it around on the field it means that a new coach can have a fresh hit at 2018 with an open chequebook.

Just seems like we're in a perpetual rebuilding phase now. May as well rip the band aid off now and be done with it.

Cleary would be great…he can bring his son too.

Pretty sure his son is locked in. I'd still want Toovey if it was to come to it. At least when we lose we'd have someone screaming blue murder at the presser.

Tooves is coaching in the ESL isn't he?

I wouldn't mind him, he'd lose his mind after every loss.

Which means he'll be losing his mind permanently! Lol

Oh well, good luck to whoever they choose, they're gonna need it. Will be like trying to steer the Titanic away from that iceberg - too late!

Please, please god let it be Cleary and not Payten.

Tigers fans need to pray right now.

Payten? You're that optimistic?

It'll be Matt Parish or one of the dads of the ball boys.

What's the "get your Hotdoggie" bloke doing these days CB?

NO way, can Mr Hotdoggie Dog to coach the WT, He has a far more important job.

WT Statement Black
Wests Tigers have today announced the termination of the contract of Head Coach Jason Taylor, effective immediately.

Wests Tigers Chair Marina Go said that this decision was not an easy one for the Club to make.

“On behalf of everyone at Wests Tigers I’d like to thank Jason for his commitment and contribution to the Club during his time as Head Coach,” said Go. “Jason has overseen significant change within the Club over the past two seasons and we thank him for his efforts.

“Our position has always been to make sure that the Head Coach’s contract is tied to performance and that hasn’t changed,” she said. “We are committed to building a side that will be in a position to win NRL Premierships and believe that this decision is the correct one for the future of the Club.

“This is a challenging time for the Club and Jason and we ask that we are given time to work through this process with Jason,” said Go.

Current Wests Tigers Assistant Coach Andrew Webster will take on the role of Interim Head Coach.

Webster returned to Wests Tigers this year after spending two seasons as an Assistant Coach at the New Zealand Warriors.

Webster previously worked for Wests Tigers as an assistant coach.

I can't imagine that any new coach will turn the WTs around in the short to medium term. I was no fan of JT - never liked him much and don't think he was up to the job. However, anyone can see that the Tigers have far deeper problems than the Head Coach.
As much as it hurts to say, I believe there is a deep seated attitude problem throughout the club, we have no money, we have a deficient NRL roster and no real player depth, salary cap mismanagement, and what about other issues… like the fact that we have no real Clubhouse or proper training facilities, a suspect Board managing us, also look at the recent crap we have dealt with - Farah Saga, Lovett and Simona (maybe there's more to these two stories than has surfaced as well).
When you read it back its really a mess, what other Club has all of these issues? You wonder if any decent coach or player would ever want to join the Tigers.

Cleary has to be the best option - he seems most respected. Payten is too close to home for me. Whatever happens, I hope they start straight away.

Finally, the players need to have a long hard look in the mirror - the coaching may not have been the best but you can't serve up the repeated rubbish mistakes we have without the players taking responsibility.
