If nothing else, when (not if) he goes, we can get into some decent threads without the same guys saying he is a maggot, insipid, i told you so, i knew he was crap and no one else did sso im a legend, blah blah blah.

And if we go better, thats great!

And without the same people defending his every move then turning on him once they realised everything they said in relation to him over the past couple of years is wrong.

They defended him in right and wrong like he was some messiah or something. Would have to be up there with Anasta as the worst signing (coach or player) the club has ever made.

I personally felt that as the coach he should have had free reign to do as he pleases, that includes being able to follow through on his plans be it for better or for worse as they are his decisions for him to live and die by (this was a massive issue I had when Potter was coach.)

Obviously for the third year running we're seeing no change, the problems are not limited just to JT but it is quite clear he will not get this group to perform, nor will he hold those responsible for poor performances to account. May as well give him the bullet now, and salvage the year as best they can. Even if they don't turn it around on the field it means that a new coach can have a fresh hit at 2018 with an open chequebook.

Just seems like we're in a perpetual rebuilding phase now. May as well rip the band aid off now and be done with it.

Come on.
We won't hit the market with an open chequebook.
We will pay the big 4 nearly 4 million dollars between them and fill the rest of the squad with plodders.
We are already all in with these kids, there is no turning back.

No we're not, not until they put pen to paper.

Since JT is now confirmed gone, new coach may have other ideas. There's more than just Brooks and Moses off contract at the end of this year.

Nah ….keep him for 1 more week ...
Sack the imposter at 1/2 time at Leichhardt !

Have Farah present him with his severance cheque !

No no no no no :frowning:

"You can either forfeit your contract and leave immediately, or you'll be running the water bottles for the remainder of the season. Regardless of how your replacement performs"

Both sound like great ideas

As Jack Gibson famously said" Ding dong the witch is dead", finally we can move forward, thanks for nothing JT.

Calling Steve Folkes, calling Steve Folkes - please report to the Wests Tigers Head Office at Concord immediately 😄

I love it
Send him to reggies to run water bottles. He will regret what he did to Farah then.

A vast majority feel sending Farah off was a great move.
I doubt JT regrets it for a single second.

Well he should because I have no doubt that his obsession with RF was responsible for some of the poorest decisions he has made and effectively, slowly but surely has contributed to his demise. All he had to do was coach the squad that he was given, instead he divided it , created drama, and weakened it. There was never any evidence to support that RF was not towing the line when it all blew up, he instigated the problem and we all suffered for it. Two wasted years treading water.
But we got rid of Farah and it was worth it because …things have really changed

The club pandered to Robbie. He was removed by Taylor to stem his influence, that's a fact.
Now we have the club turning the tables back to pandering to these kids.
The club is petrified to lose them, the money invested in them would be wasted.
JT will be sacrificed and we will be back to the norm.

I really pray for the spoon this year. That's how we get out of this mess.

Yeah great thinking Match ball.

All that will do is loose key players, loose sponsors won't be able to secure a coach or players. Another year of pain for the supporters.

You have to be kidding!!

All the players we have let go seem to be able to hold FG positions at other clubs Matchball under the guide of other coaches and play well.Players see this and naturally have concerns about the future plans for the coach at the club. They are not school children they have career goals and they know they have options I can guarantee in the same position you would do the same thing.
All clubs pander to players they want to sign, if we want to retain these guys we have to give them some assurance that the club is moving in the right direction
They have had two years under JT enough time to know whether he is the man to lead them that way. If thats what is delaying their decision then it is up to the board to decide who is more valuable to them the coach or the players. And I have no doubt the same would apply at all clubs. Successful coaches dont get axed and players like to play at successful clubs - you cant expect out players to think differently when making a decision about their future

Nah nah nah nah ….

GOODBYE !!!!!

Repeat after me ....

Big difference between defending him and defending the position of head coach.

Anyway, how many will we win on the trot now, starting this week. JT has gone, who was responsible for every issue we have ever had. He is gone now, cant possibly lose!!!!

Cant wait until this weeks team selection. Lets just see what changes.

It's not that black and white and you know it.

Some people couldn't stand JT at all, never did.
Some people were open-minded to see how he went, turned on him quickly enough when the results didn't come quickly.
Some people were open-minded to see how he went, thought he should get near-enough to his full tenure to be able to produce the results that previous coaches had failed to achieve.
Some people liked JT as a coach and were optimistic he could do it.

And most people were a thousand shades of in-between of those scenarios.

So I don't think anyone truly defended JT's every move, he did good things and bad things. The results didn't come and it's come faster than most people predicted this year.

Don't go turning on the people who stuck up for the role of the head coach, same as those who stuck up for Potter in principle, even if Potter didn't get the results either.

The person who turns WT around, if ever, will be a genius because it's claimed 5 coaches to date and NONE of them have come back to coaching at NRL level.

Will this change anything in the long run?
Theres multiple issues around the club, do they think getting rid of one bloke will change everything?

\
\
This is correct…The club has massive issues and to start with is money...we simply dont have the money to implement and run a top notch football department that is going to attract the players needed to be a force....the current NRL squad is full on NRL impostors (and I include the big 4 in this)...but what marquee player would want to join the WT, whilst the joint is in a mess..?.Look at Newcastle, no matter how much money they throw at a player, most dont want to go near the joint...and we are no different.

At least JT tried something....but it hasn't worked..

Is it time to call the whole thing "mission impossible"?

Taylor was so far out of his depth, without a clue of what to do next. He's run out of excuses. He's sacked everyone but himself , and used them as scapegoats for his own shortcomings,
He can't Coach, Simple.

Also, how is this place going to go next week if we get lapped by Storm? Can't get knives out for Taylor any more, which was such an easy go-to, he was so easy to dislike, call names, scarecrow etc.

What do you do if the team gets pumped and the players aren't fighting and all you have is the interim bloke to hook?
