Potter wasn't sacked, tsk tsk, journalism.

Boys on 360 mentioned him being sacked several times, along with Cleary agreeing to terms at WTs already, Go not knowing Daley, one secret club target all four of the fab four. . blah blah

Oh THAT was a highlight from Paul Kent.

"It was like David Smith not knowing Benji Marshall, or was it Ben Barba, or was it Cameron Smith? Anyway you know the story I am talking about."

Let me not-fully-remember for you the story about another bloke not-fully-remembering another bloke's name.

Throw in about 50 "Balmain's" and you are forgiven for wondering whether any of these dudes really have much of an idea at all what they are talking about. Ben Ikin only impresses me, he's a smart operator and it's not just his glasses giving me that impression, I liked the way he shot down Kent (?) when talking about the Chairperson role and who that person answers to.

"Why would I need facts or background information when I can just text former players for opinions and then go on a rant!?"

Paul Kent tonite discussing Todd Payten with Ikin & Dean Ritchie
"I dont think Payten will get the job"

Paul Kent **last night** discussing Ivan Cleary:
"Hes agreed to terms already"

The great thing about Cleary is he is working with the referees so he has recent experience dealing with mediocrity.

Actually thats a great thing about Cleary!! - He works with the refs.

Sub consciously some refs will want to look after him!!

About him we had some clout. Hopefully he keeps a few contacts LOL

In all seriousness though, the clubs issues go much deeper than the coach.. I thought this new board was supposed to be a positive change to replace our other dysfunctional board. Just doesn't end with this club.. I don't know who to blame anymore.

Serious question. What actions by the present board do you feel are dysfunctional?

It looks like I insinuated that our current board are dysfunctional but I didn't really intend that - not saying they're dysfunctional. I will say that I have no idea what's going on behind the scenes however, and our club as a whole isn't looking too good. I really do hope a new coach fixes most of our problems but somehow I don't think it will anytime soon.

I wasnt having a go at you Sco77y and Im not directing this post at you either but personally it is irritating me the amount of knee jerk reaction by the media, other fans and our fans directing anger at "the board" or Pascoe or even Go. This board was put in place because the previous board was totally disfuntional, mostly because of stupid inter-club bickering with one of the clubs (mine, Balmain) having no real authority to even be there. This board was put in place to be (generally) independent and make rational decisions. I actually see NO evidence to date that this present board are not doing a good job. In fact I think there have been examples that they have made tough and good decisions for the betterment of the club.

I do agree with you in part. They do appear to have made some good decisions in the past and seem to be a better fit than the previous board which just wasn't working at all. I guess the blame is pointed at them on occasion because they as a whole respresent our club at its highest level. At the end of the day they're responsible for everything. So when large issues are present within the club you eventually start to wonder why these things are happening, and it starts at the top. Rarely do you hear anything regarding the board of any other team (ok - Parra, but that was a pretty big problem that took years to uncover). Does the media have a vendetta against Wests Tigers? I don't think so, I know they like to sensationalise things but we make it easy for them.

I don't know what the problem is, I don't know who, if anyone is the cause and I don't know why our coaches keep "losing the dressing room". But the club has a very important decision coming up and they need to choose our next coach very carefully because no one wants a repeat of this garbage.

Farah often use to get the blame for all problems in our dressing room, but if you look at teams that have had a continued lack of success it is commonplace for coaches to lose the sheds. It has happened at Parra, Warriors, Newcastle Canberra, Titans and St George in recent years in that regard we are really no different to any other club.

True, I guess that aspect has been distorted in our club though with an extended lack of success. We've had 3 coaches in a row now that have supposedly lost the shed.

Interesting Dean Richie saying tonight Politis/Roosters have nothing whatsoever to do with Isaac Moses

Does that mean in general they don't cross paths with him, or that they actively avoid dealing w him?

Its been reported for a few months that the Roosters refuse to deal with Isaac Moses. I think one other club was mentioned as well.

Sort of flies in the face of all that noise that Roosters were after / had signed Tedesco.

The Tigers are a mess. They have placed themselves in a position where they are not running the club and are being influenced by others seeking to promote their own interests… Such as off contract players, player managers and sponsors... Whether Taylor deserved the sack is anyones guess, and really something only the players would know... But i tend to believe Woodsy when he says the players didn't know it was coming... I also tend to believe this was not planned by the board. After reading the quotes from Lee Hagipantelis of Brydens Lawyers, suggesting Taylors sacking 'Had to be done', i wouldn't be surprised if he influenced the decision...

When Tiger Torch posted comments last year about Nathan Milone being selected because of a sponsors request, i found that dissappointing... But it was an indication of how much sway the sponsors have with a vulnerable club like the Tigers. Likewise, whilst many agree it was Taylors time, if it is due to a sponsors request then that is a worry...

Would have loved to see Pascoe and Go's faces when the Wests board members told them they were going to flick JT. All of a sudden being BFF's with the Chairperson meant nothing to Jason.

Something to do with the supposed reneging of a contract during the cooling off period perhaps.

Yeah if it is to be believed, apparently Moses was signed, sealed and delivered there.

Maybe that's now why they don't deal with Moses Snr.
