if its these two ,then why all the wait ,surely a press conference is not needed for yet another two nuffies in our ranks
Get with the times chooky….social media hits is where its at today bro
Two handy signings imo.....Im happy with this
I think people expect too much, need to be realistic....we arent attracting any marquee for a while
Yeah, it's two decent signings. People want us to get Folau, JT and SBW and still they'll find something to whine about.
Just hope we're not paying overs.
Anyone know much about Austin? Seemed okay at the panthers but is he the guy to help mentor brooks and moses?
ink exactly right mate, we need to be realistic in who would want to come to a club running second last. we wont sign the superstars, not this year.

austin isnt a mentor, he himself is still learning the trade
however, i think he is a good link player, he has the size for 2nd row, the ability to play in the centre and the skills for the halves, a future utility key player.
he will be a suitable stop gap for moses and then could move into the 2nd row like sironen, but he is a better half than sironen imo.
he is a goal kicker which is a plus
from the few games i have seen of him, he can go missing in games but that may be due to walsh being the dominate half when he played at the riff.
austin makes sense, the riff have soward, john, moylan and coote to fill the halves and one in the fullback role, one as back up
he is a running half rather than a ball playing half so more likely to be 5/8th
as i said i see value in him, as he is young he provided a contingency plan should brooks/moses don't work out, and if we are lucky enough to have all 3 work out, then austin will be a valuable player off the bench (more so than halatau), in that he can play anywhere and from the bench can play a wade graham type role as he develops his body
