This makes me think kite will be an even better signing with Buchanan , groat , fotukia young 20 yr old props the who better to learn off then an experienced Australian and origin rep

I know that I will get laughed for this comment , but Blair will be in his element with the young blokes coming through

Even Woods mentioned how much he had learned from Blair in the off season about professionalism ,preparing properly ,focus

Who spends the money at this club? Keep BMM and Moores. I really don't think we should be spending money on young front row forwards. We need toughness and experience so Kite would have been a much better buy and I don't really like him as a player.
All this plus we have more problems in the halves. We should have bought a good half back. Im sure there must be someone out there we could sign.
Anyway now we have signed him keep him long term and don't let him get bought by another team.
Ok, that's my rant. Good luck to the young fella and I hope he proves me wrong.

Seems like Jack is a good pick up. Dragons have a good record of producing forwards. Think Merrin, Hunt, Creagh, Prior for starters. Also notice Jack was their Captain too so we're picking up a player who is a leader and judging by his stats, has a high workrate too. Only question this asks me now is that with us also being strongly linked with Brent Kite, it leaves me wondering are we about to see the shift of Murdoch-Masila to the second row on a permanent basis??

BMM is a backrower by nature and it also gives extra size and power to the Tigers forward pack.

POTENTIALLY, we are looking at the following forwards for next year:

Matt Bell - Prop/Backrow
Adam Blair - Backrow
BMM - Backrow
Jack Buchanan - Prop
Mosese Fotuaika - Prop
Liam Fulton - Backrow
Keith Galloway - Prop
Matt Groat - Prop
Chris Heighington - Backrow
Brent Kite - Prop
Junior Moors - although I suspect he'll be elsewhere from the sound of it
Soni Paasi - Prop
Eddy Pettybourne - Backrow
Ava Setumanufagai - Prop
Sauaso Sue - Backrow/Prop
Bodene Thompson - Backrow
Aaron Woods - Prop
e
Looking at that lineup, the depth does look better.

Just remember to cover both NRL and the resrve grade side we need 14-16 players with bench players that can cover all positions

Good forwards can lay the platform to make an average half look like a world beater.

Looks like this kid has it all.

Wests Tigers have secured one of the best young props in the NYC competition in Jack Buchanan.
The St George-Illawarra Dragons NYC Captain has signed with the Wests Tigers for three years from 2013.
Buchanan has been in fine form for the Dragons this season, averaging more than 145m per game to be ranked 5th in the NYC for most metres.
He also is ranked 6th in the NYC for most runs. Defensively, Buchanan is ranked fourth for most tackles in the NYC.
Wests Tigers Head Coach Tim Sheens is pleased to have Buchanan at Concord next season.
“Jack is a big strong mobile young prop and will fit right in with our promising group of youngsters in Aaron Woods, Matt Groat, Ava Setumanufagai and Mosese Fotuaika,’’ Sheens said.
