Also weird that you can't be on a sports program that talks about betting or tipping, but you can have betting agencies plastered all on your jersey and naming rights to stadiums.

This really is quite bizarre - if Daley isn't stood down from coaching the All Stars and as Kangaroos selector its confirmation that the NRL has it in for WT. There can be no difference between his current roles within the NRL and being employed as a halves coach for WT.

Is this just a Gee Up to piss us supporters off… We have worked so hard to turn the club around and actually made money last year unlike most of the NRL's favorite clubs and we cop this and the Farah rubbish. I can only hope we stick up for ourselves and make them look foolish even though we should not have to. As other have pointed out already how do other clubs get away with these things without a thing happening to them.. This just makes me feel sick reading stuff like this.

It's not about other employment it's who Daley works for. Apparently Tabcorp are part owners/sponsors of BSB. The NRL believe there may be a problem with Daley discussing league and giving tips when a betting agency is involved in his employment. Very hypocritical as Sportsbet is an NRL partner. Also Daley is employed by the NRL as coach of the all stars and as a selector.

The entire sport is designed to placate betting companies. Every club and the NRL itself are sponsored by betting companies.
Daley works part time on a radio show. Not for a betting agency. His media commitments are no different to anyone else who appears in the media and consults with clubs.

This is ridiculous. And as we know, if he was signing with the Roosters or Storm there would be no questions asked.

I was thinking the same thing ck. The Johns brothers have been involved in halves coaching whilst having their fingers in the pies of radio, fox and channel 9 for years. At least Laurie consulted with the integrity unit before Todd let it all happen and then hammer us again.
