Definition of IMPOSTER= someone pretending to be something they are not. Blind freddy will tell you that our defencies are in defence and not in attack. When you claim to be a defensive orientated coach and your team has the second worst defensive record then you are nothing but an IMPOSTER. I know I posted a smartarse GIF before but this raises more questions than it answers for mine which troubles me given our precarious position on the ladder.

Given that JT made an attempt to move Farah on last year that was kyboshed by the board and CEO. The club responded by appointing a middle man between the coach and board to oversee football operations. We've heard from different sources that Taylor no longer makes team selections on his own, and O'Neill is alleged to be one of those whom have a say. We've heard from a supposed insider that it's a power move in order to retain ET and we've heard the usual innuendo about JT and Farah's tenuous relationship reappear in the media. These are the questions that rise from this scenario IMO:

- Why now does JT make this selection decision to stand down Farah and receive support from those above him after being emasculated for attempting to move him on last year?

- What are now the catalysts that see this as being considered a move worthy of support?

- Who are the key powerbrokers in the club now? To be picked on the bench one day and then rissoled the next, I get the feeling that JT is being utilised as a hatchet man with little freedom in the decision making.

- Most importantly, how will the rest of the team respond?

I will say that I have had my piece to say regularly over this whole sorry affair between JT and Farah and have maintained my position that JT is the coach and should have full autonomy over his selections. If he deems Farah to be surplus to requirements that is his decision and it is what the club employs him for. That being said, it is pretty clear that the dynamic of Farah coming off the bench is working rather well of late and sees us far more competitive in games. If dropping Farah for puerile reasons such as a personality clash is the catalyst for this rather than performances it is a poor indictment on the coach and club. Given that JT has been previously shackled and unable to make these sorts of decisions in the past where he probably would have liked to have had Farah away from first grade leads me to believe that there's someone higher up overseeing the power play. JT has had all this time to drop Farah and has not until now.

I've always said that a coach should be able to run the team as they see fit. I have never supported players interfering in the football operations of a club. What this current scenario does suggest is that JT once again has no freedom to run the team the way he wants, not because of player power this time, rather that he could well now be beholden to those above him. If this proves to be true, this is a poor outcome not just because it is a perceived poor treatment of a club stalwart, but also poor treatment of a coach which may further detract any coaches of quality being attracted to the club in the future.

It's a crisis for the club, but it's nothing to get worked up over. If this is how you respond to something that has a minimal impact on your life, I'd hate to see how you'd handle a divorce, a death in the family or being made redundant (i.e. legitimate crisis.)

For one, it's very interesting that Pascoe has distanced himself from the decision, and literally said that JT's job is on the line so he can do what he wants, knowing the consequences.

I believe TT and co re: the so-called feud being a massive beat-up, but then again I struggle to believe that this is purely about cohesion. We look like going into Sunday with a part-time hooker (7 games from retirement) and a reserve grade back rower as our hooking options. I'm no fan of RF as a player or influence on the Tigers, but he's clearly a better option than Halatau and Edwards.
Is it a move to force him out? Has JT been given a 'finals or bust' ultimatum and started getting desperate? Why such a drastic move to apparently fix the attack, but no such moves to fix our sputtering defence?

I don't buy into any of the 'lack of respect' nonsense. It's professional sport, this sorta stuff happens all over the world on a regular basis and people get on with it. The 250 game milestone is irrelevant in all this.

Your first two lines have actually put up another viable scenario: Is Pascoe allowing JT to have his way so if it doesn't pan out, they've got a reasonable excuse to march him?

I come from being a staunch Wests Supporter, and I can promise you that I , in no way support Taylor in any way. And
We have a gaping right hand defence problem in our team, that everyone including his fanboys club, have acknowledgedand , and have two suspect defenders in the halves, does Taylor address this problem, of course not,
But he dumps one player who along with a FEW others, puts in in every game just so he can try and prove a point. Pity Previous players didn't hit him harder, and convince him that Coaching wasn't his thing
