Wests Tigers star Robbie Farah dropped from NRL to reserve grade

This has the smell of a disciplinary measure. Pascoe needs to explain very clearly and very soon why a senior player and current SOO representative named on the bench for the Dragons game has now been dumped to reggies!

Maybe WT have decided we are no chance of making the finals and want to force Robbie Farah out to save 1 mill in the salary cap. After years of hearing players state it's a business, I'm all for forcing him out.

This may very well be close to the truth.

Finally! Hopefully this is the writing on the wall and he'll leave next year. Good one, JT. Keep it up.

The decision is one thing. The timing of it is another. If we're still floundering, out of contention for the 8, go for it. But to do it when we're still in contention and run the risk of the players throwing in the towel, just like they did 2 yrs ago when we were just getting our act together before the Farah/Potter crap exploded is suicidal. Now's not the time to play politics. If he's been dropped, there better be a damn good reason and it better be communicated to the supporters.

Ridiculous if true. He should be pkay 80 minutes in the top grade.

Of course he should be playing 80 minutes with us carrying another backrower on the bench, just when I started to believe we could make the 8, JT tries to destabilise the club. :bash

So you don't think any higher ups like O'Neill deserve to be questioned as well?

If Buckets gave the Ok he can go to, bloody hell Farah is 3 games shy of 250 for the club, this is an ego move, not a smart one with where we are sitting on the ladder, and taking our woeful defence into calculations.

Agree , the timing is ( I'd love to swear) ridiculous ..
We were looking harmonious just of late then this crap unfolds with the top 8 within arms reach .

Sensing an Ayoub/Weilder Headline in the next 24hrs 'DISGRACE - Robbie had no choice but to leave' upon signing with a new club for 2017.

If this turns out to be true then Taylor really has no right to be coaching first grade.

Farah should be our starting hooker and should play the full 80\. It's a no brainer.

I'm on Twitter trying to understand how this all came about. So there was a tweet about Robbie with Tim Manah and Michael Cheika. Then nothing. Then Liam Cox drops a note saying its an exclusive on Channel 7\. Then there is like 200 mentions in an hour.

Stinks of a media beat up. You know they always tell the truth. Like Semi boarding a plane to FIJI. Seriously; until I see it with a WT logo, its not worth the bits its entrenched in cyber space with.

Just when fans start getting a grimmer of hope that something can be achieved this year Smash….Crash....Boom :unamused: .

I thought JT was using Farah effectively and was getting the best out of him coming off the bench , this is just so puzzling and words must of been exchanged i dare say ? He was Originally down for a start of the bench and now to Reserve Grade .
Farah must of had some words with him and JT probably said to him " oh yeah ? i show you who's the Boss " . So i'm guessing.

If we make the 8 after another saga ? JT deserves to be the Coach of the year .
The players must be telling JT they don't want to play with Robbie cause it's a very brave move if true , there is quite a few important players coming of Contract next year and the last thing JT wants to do is get the players offside .

There is the possibility that uncle Sam could have leaked it before the club has had a chance to announce. Every minute that goes by that the club doesn't say anything is damning. It would seem if this was untrue, all it would require is a straight out ''this is a beat up''. The longer they go without saying anything the more likely they are thinking up corporate spin to make the backlash as minimal as possible.

oh well Taylor is the coach he picks the team
There a lot goes on between players and coaches

That we can't see from the view of our keyboards

**First Story**

The Tigers' hooking stocks have been the subject of much debate this season, but coach Jason Taylor revealed his club was forced to apply to League Central for a second tier exemption given Robbie Farah was on State of Origin duties to compound the injuries to Matt Ballin and Manaia Cherrington.

Liddle, 19, put the Tigers ahead early in the second half with an opportunistic try before the Bulldogs wore down the top eight fringe dwellers for a 32-22 win at ANZ Stadium on Saturday night.

Taylor conceded Liddle was unlikely to feature in the top grade again this season in a scenario reminiscent of the Luke Brooks wrangle in late 2013.

"For salary cap reasons he probably won't play any more part," Taylor said. "That's disappointing. We can't do anything about it and that's how it works."

**Second Story**

Despite contributing to the Tigers’ resurgence as the joint venture club competes for an unlikely finals berth, Taylor is set to use a combination of Dene Halatau and young guns Jacob Liddle and Manaia Cherrington at hooker for the rest of the season

Yes I am confused

Why does the club need to spin it? He's been told he's free to leave and now dropped. Curtis Sironen in the same boat. Play reserve grade til you both find a new club.

Make no mistake this is Personal…...your not named on the bench 1 Day then you find yourself in the Intrust Cup the next .

Something must of gone down cause if he was carrying an injury he wouldn't even be playing in Reserve Grade.
Kiss Top 8 goodbye me thinks .

Farah was named on the bench #16

That's what i was saying hobbo , it's very odd.

I'm hoping this is all BS and that if it's not Official from the Wests Tigers site ? it's BS .
But something tells me where there is smoke there is fire.

Wow. I don't understand this decision. It's obviously not based upon on-field performances. It also gives us a real bad look.
