Wests Tigers star Robbie Farah dropped from NRL to reserve grade

Ive just seen the press conference where Taylor try's to justify the decision to drop Farah. I can understand where his logic is in regards to stifling the young halves play. BUT he's my issue and it will continue to be my issue on this topic. Ballin is injured cant play, Liddle is hamstrung by 2nd tier salary cap cant play, Cherrington hasnt had a look in for whatever reason. JT continues to play Halatau at hooker and then moves ET into dummy half which effectively takes him out of the play. Unless JT plays Cherrington IMO he is stifling the teams play more than it would if he played Farah.

So to my way of thinking its an obvious power struggle to get Farah out of the club, whilst we are still in contention to make the 8 i find this the most puzzling and ridiculous rationale ever. And i dont say this often or really ever but i agree with James Hooper's comments on the situation, why name Farah on Tuesday and drop him after a video session on Wednesday, its baffling seriously baffling defies logic.

Doc Taylor said he didn't want to call Robbie back early after his 5 days off and wanted to give him and the team they info as one

That is why they named that side

Sorry mate, it was only one word that I was trying to emphasise.

It won't happen again.

Wasn't a shot at you CQ, it was aimed at someone who thinks writing IMPOSTER makes his point any more valid.

fair call i didnt hear that bit, apart from that i still think the choice is wrong unless he's planning on playing a specialist hooker IE Cherrington or Farah

Literally every question is put to JT in this press conference, from team strategy to the timing of the team announcement:

He handled it well. Straight answers.

Taylor didn't really answer that , but some are saying that Edwards has been playing hooker in NSW Cup

So it would be either Edwards or Cherrington

Gasnier certainly appeared to be digging up info for the game didn't he ??

Wow, come in this morning to find an 18 page thread. I'm sure someone else has already said this but:

**UNITE COMMIT ACHIEVE**

Taylor is UNITING the team with this decision …..Taylor is COMMITED in getting rid of Farah ....Talylor will ACHIVE what he has set out do do with this team .

UNITE COMMIT ACHIEVE well done Jason Taylor .

My question is, what has Taylor set out to do, and is it in the best interests of the Wests Tigers???

Yeah, we have a big problem with our cohesion in attack - that's why we are considered an attacking force.
I thought our main problem was our cohesion in defence.
To say we have looked better when he hasn't been on the field…anyone watched our last few games?

There is a guy on Facebook who writes a blog under the heading of Tiger tales, basically gives options on all sports but his passion is the WestsTigers. He wrote a great blog on the saga today. Well worth a read. Pretty much sums up a lot of peoples feelings no what camp they are affiliated with. The author also posts on this website and is usually quality, unlike many others

I am clearly a Robbie fan and see no place for Taylor especially given all the same crap rhetoric that comes out of his mouth.

However, on reflection whats done is done lets move on and support him but it should be clear if no finals this year then Taylor should resign

Not saying he should have asked his senior players permission to drop Farah, but i hope it was handled with kid gloves and he told them before he told Farah to gauge their reaction. If they were fine with it, then its a step forward.

JT was asked about the milestone and his response was, "no individual milestone is bigger than the team."

And i agree no individual is bigger than the team. But Farah is contracted next year. If i was Farah i would stick around another just to shove it in THE IMPOSTERS face. My point is the only way to get Farah to go to England next year is to get him onside not offside, have a plan for him to come back and be involved with the club. Look at how Penrith handled the Soward situation. Soward will be back coaching at Penrith when he is done in England. Absolutely pathetic situation, no idea how to do run a club or team.

I think they tried that last year, they even went to ayoub to see how to best handle the situation. But all they got was a child like response.
He isn't going to go anywhere by his own doing so we have him a push. It had to be done, otherwise he'd be still here next year.
It should have been done last year.

In what round did they try it last year?? When every club had there full roster and no money to spend. Handled badly last year, handled badly this year, when will they learn.

Well he's had 12 months now to find another club. He needed the push.

JT is playing a dangerous game here. If Tedesco's friendship with Robbie causes him to leave our club due to the way his mate was treated then Taylor will be the most hated figure in our clubs' history. Players aren't exactly known for their emotional fortitude in this day and age (the Origin he said/she said pettiness being a prime example)…people would be naive to think players don't take into consideration how their mates are treated by an organization.

So why is he pushing him now?? Why didnt he push at the start of the year when we got off to a good start without him. Why would THE IMPOSTER wait till round 20, when Farah has hit some form and the team was gelling together. This tells me one thing, THE IMPOSTER and people above him dont think we can make finals this year, so they are happy to sabotage this season. I wouldnt even put this solely on THE IMPOSTER, i dont think he realises the people above him want him gone as much as they do Farah.

Hey at least JT is leaving no stone unturned…if he is punted at the end of this year at least he will go away without any regrets around his decisions in 2016

There should be no if, I have been a JT critic for a long while, but I have laid off him lately, but there should be no if he is punted, he should be gone.
He can't surely ask us supporters to believe that Halatau is a better hooker, this is ego driven and so typical of the man, the sooner JT and his few mates leave the club the better the place will be.

Hope the rest of the players take note of how our Top players are treated when the idiots running the club want to get out of fulling the big contracts that they put in front of them as players, or will they think it can't happen to them ??

You mean me lol, pretty childish if your afraid to attach a name to your complaint. Im a Wests Tigers suppporter and will not sit here idle while an IMPOSTER tries to sabotage our season. Definition of IMPOSTER= someone pretending to be something they are not. Blind freddy will tell you that our defencies are in defence and not in attack. When you claim to be a defensive orientated coach and your team has the second worst defensive record then you are nothing but an IMPOSTER. Its in cap locks because im screaming it out, im so over this guy, the sooner he is gon the better.

You're sitting behind a keyboard providing your opinion, it's as idle as it gets.

Could it be some people are choosing sides and STILL don't like the fact he came from the Balmain side of the venture and our illustrious coach once donned the black and white?
16 years on and you can still see it - you only have to look at the avatars or recall past comments from some of his biggest critics.
Could it be his ethnic heritage?
I'd hate to think this swayed some people but, unfortunately you can see it - even in some over the top comments regarding his manager.

This is really starting to become a desperate, pathetic argument. Not everyone who comes from the Wests side supports Taylor and hates Farah, and not everyone comes from Balmain loves Farah and hates JT. It's a pathetic cop out.

Balmain Bug, perhaps the biggest pot stirrer in this forum's existence for his pro Magpie rants kisses the ground Farah walks on, and despises Taylor.

Time to move on.

Prediction:

-team tanks in the last 7 games and finishes in the bottom four
-Robbie gets 3 more games with his farewell game and 250th against the raiders in Rd 26 at Leichhardt on the condition he leaves the club at the end of this season
-Jason Big Balls Taylor is fired at the end of this season off the back of his many failures
-2-3 year"rebuild" starts again 2017
