Wests Tigers Statement...Mayer Resigns

His lasting legacy will be the Grey alternative jersey he brought, until we change it next year.

I hope someone can confirm Jerry Seinfield is ok.

I wonder where Jerry is and also where the great AHX as well…haven't heard from them for ages..would love both their input to this thread....

Now that the NRL have complete control with all the people they have hired being the only ones left I think we can say goodbye to Leichhardt and Campbelltown. We are now totally at the mercy of the NRL.

Wonder what this will mean for JT…CEOs/GMs in sport get the chop all the time. And the new guy (it's always a man) inevitably wants THEIR coach, not the one his predecessor chose.

Although was JT chosen by the board rather than the CEO?

When you think of it that way, I wouldnt be surprised to see someone like Todd Greenberg jump into the role for a short time to toe the NRL line.

Not Surprised… I figured he would be punted earlier considering the make up of the new board.

Search the World to find us a First Class Administrator. An inspirational leader who can attract world class sponsors!

And who will work for a pittance.

Surely Big Harry has some CEO mates lookin for a gig!

I cant wait to read Phil "the grub" Rothfield's comments in the smelly graph. This weekend was the first time in tears that he didn't say anything derogative against the tigers.

Wests Ashfield need to appoint the CEO its the only way this club will be strong moving forward.
Hopefully Simon Cook wests Ashfield CEO and director of Wests Tigers gets the position. With control its the only way Wests Ashfield bankroll the club moving forward.

I could care less about the politics but a strong league club with representation and control of the Footy Club usually does well. Look at the Dogz.

Bottom line I am glad he is gone.

Always struck me as a salesman who was a bit shonky.

No doubt he had a very tough gig and he tried some good things.

But for me he should have gone last year after some howlers on his behalf, and now its time to say good bye and good riddance.

He's not gone far , he got a gig at "Australian Fleet Sales" just down the road

you could tell that old beetroot head was butt hurt on friday night when were pummelling the bunnies .
he had to trash his anti WTs story that he had planned for saturday . instead all he could tweet about was how poor phil gould's commentary was . no praise for the WTs win at all .

Put it this way Peeps GM didn't go because he was doing a great job…

I wonder if there is any coincidence between the Parra Ceo standing down and then Mayer leaving? Perhaps there is someone out there the Tigers want and were worried they might go to Parra so sped up the process? It just seems very odd timing to me…

Sure why not, could give sponsors a 2 for 1 Friday lunch deals mixed with a free spin - no doubt that will attract the sponsors we need at the club whilst send the club in the right direction instead of the infighting that goes on….....
