Wests Tigers team for Parramatta Trial

Not that you can believe everything you read on twitter but I don't expect Farah to play this weekend. Is Hyland our only backup hooking option?

Fulton, Politini and i think Farlow are also considered options. Maybe even Waters.

Can Jay qualify for the award since he has already debuted in NRL last year?? :crazy

Jamal Idris played a few games in 2008 and won the award in 2009, so yeah.

I like Moors starting. He can add that second phase play as a prop/second-row option off the bench, which we don't really have. Maybe Payten but he doesn't quite run the ball up as hard as he probably could.

I'm stoked Jnr Mo is getting a run, will be interesting to see the results @ the end.
Lets get it in !

Mate he'll be lucky to get a look in at all. Woods will get a run ahead of him at this stage.

There's some doubt over Politoni as well apparently. The one guy who has not been mentioned but has trained with FG in the off season is Dean Parata.

I really like the look of our side.

I thought Moors was REALLY hard done by last year. Great to see him in firsts again!

I saw this also, Benji also said that Jarryd Hayne is the best player in the world.
My friend, an EELS supported also sms'd me informing me of this. I just told her he's too humble to say it really is himself ( because it is, Hype train is over-rated, Dugan for NSW FULLBACK )

As for that Parra team, not a very impressive line up - but keep an eye out for Jacob Loko this season.
Doubt he'll stay repping the yellow & blue for long.

its not the same without taniela in the line up - reality hits home - the only winger better than Brett Morris in the modern era.

LOL !!! :blah

I'd have Vatavei, SKD & Uate in front of Morris any day of the weak.

SKD is a centre.
…. I would probably have vatuvei up there, but he is always injured now...
and only recently has uate stepped his game up...

Liam Fulton will be in the Rd 1 side

You're right, I completely forgot Fulton. I imagine he'll probably be starting in the second row, with Payten on the bench and Fafita fighting it out for the last bench spot with the other players I named.

Whats the go with Jacob Loko and Why??

Plus

What does "Doubt he'll stay repping the yellow & blue" Mean.

I must be getting old.

Seen Loko play a bunch of times - great attacking talented youngster, he's defo on the come up.
Keep an eye out for him

And for the second question, I don't know what kind of contract he is currently on but a few clubs were chasing him last year & if Eels can't come up with some decent figures $$$, I think he'll be taking better offers elsewhere.

I think he's 18 or 19, massive head & is pure talent.

You are both wrong

Ben Murdoch-Malisla will win rookie of the year (I am sure he still qualifies as he has only played 2 NRL games both being in the finals last year).

It is good to have so much young talent in the club.

Hope Murdoch-Masila wins !!

Original thread title was better, tzzzt.

Yes, with very few exceptions, the Parra side is an interesting mix of players I've never heard of and some old blokes well past their 'best by' date. I think Benji was focusing on the Kearney factor in rating them as the 'dark horse' of the premiership. He really rates him as a coach who can resurrect careers and bring out the best in his players. And who knows, he may well be proven right.
