They played really well. Most impressive was they finished the team. They've been able to dominate bad teams for periods but always end up letting them back in the game, this was unrelenting. The changes looked good, Walters was an excellent compliment to Benji, and Benji was even better then he had been. I'm guessing Madge's tactic in dropping him is to get him to lift like he did tonight. Maybe he also just realises he's older and needed a break.
My pessimism proved unfounded tonight, really expected a stinging broncos win tonight and so impressed with how we played. So happy to say I was wrong this week and I'm keen to see Walters run around next week.
So full credit to Madge and the players for playing a structured and effective game. Haven't seen the tigers as clinical.
That said, the Broncos were dreadful, I don't remember a team as bad as them. They just seem to have neither motivation or a clear way of playing. It's miserable.
We need to start beating top 8 teams, but they did all that they could in this game.
