WESTS Tigers Team V Broncos

I think the teams are evenly matched.
Defo a win-able match for us if we stay focused.

Im sure as soon as Naiqama starts to find the try line the pressure will ease off him
I dont recall him being a target upto rpund 8

Its was Rankin, Milone, Lovett and anyone else who didnt do enough at the time.

I wonder if the Sirro dropping is supposed to be a "kick up the clack" or an attempt to move him on before the June cutoff.

If I was guessing…the 2nd one...

One day there will be a team list Tuesday..where everyone just says Yah..it will be boring tho..

Halatau sucks at dummy half. Consistently throws wonky passes.

Hopefully naiqama/nofa edge doesn't leak many points. Chee Kam was solid in his place last week

I was a bit skeptical about Tim Grant' signing but was impressed by his early efforts. But, over the last two games I am less enthused. Am I missing something? Is he carrying an injury or something?

Happy with the team. Like JAC given another go.

Chee-Kam can consider himself unlikely.

Happy Sirro has been dropped and moved on before 30 June. Needs a change of clubs.

I think the critcism of Kev is a bit harsh, had an average game against dogs coming off being knocked out the week before and carrying an injury but overall he has had a great start to the year.

He was named in the 5 form centres of the season in the comp only 2 weeks ago
He has scored 6 tries, 4 try assists, 7 line breaks and 26 tackle breaks and 95 meters a game
His error rate and penalties conceded are down from last yr, his tackle efficency up from 72% to 79% despite making on average twice as many tackles per game this year

It would be very harsh to drop him and I think he has more then earned the right for 1 bad game

It is somewhat unfair, but his defensive deficiencies were so glaring last week and he has competition for his spot.

Lawrence and Sironen miss 15 tackles (between them) and they stay in the team
Naiqama gets a reprieve
Lovett stays in the team
Sironen and Chee Kam out.

Taylor is without question the most incompetent coach of all time.

Give us your side please..with a small summary why you picked the team you did

I made a mistake earlier, meant to say Halatau, not Sironen. Apologies. I'm actually not sure of a 1-17\. Here's a crack at 1-13…

No matter how much people are bagging Sironen he is eons better than Lawrence. Larence is completely unable to break a tackle and is a massive weakness defensively.

Halatau is several years passed his best and doesn't add anything to the team, and is a liability defensively. Sironen cops a lot of flak in this forum, but there are many, many players that are worse.

As for Naiqama, well, after that performance against Canterbury he should probably never get the chance to play first grade again.

1\. Rankin
2\. Nofo
3\. Chee Kam
4\. Simona
5\. JAC
6\. Moses
7\. Brooks
8\. Ava
9\. Ballin
10\. Grant
11\. Aloili
12\. Sironen
13\. Taylor
14\. Sue
15\. Felise
16\. ?
17 ?

Just saw Sironen named in nsw cup. Surley on his way out the door contract or not he wont stay abdvplay nsw cup and we will want to free up the cap room.

Would love to know the full story there. Not that he doesnt deserve to be there, but you get the feeling theres more to it.

Years of underperformance. He's had more chances than most to prove himself- would have been great if he could of grasped his many chances and kept a great name from one of WT's parent clubs going but it is time to trim the uselessness from our club before we are rendered extinct.
Sirro Snr coming out and bagging the coaching methods would of had an effect on the situation too.

Carrying a hooker on the bench means one less back rower. Could be as simple as that. Aloiai and Lovett have been too solid to drop the past few weeks.

I'd have Curtis Sironen over Dene Halatau, but I understand Taylor not wanting to run Ballin for 80 minutes.

I reckon Siro deserves more chances. Defensively he is good. He does need to offer more in attack though. I would definitely play Naiqama.

I reckon it's a good team but Brisbane look like a great team and their halves destroy our halves.

We can win but as per every game this year we need to play to the best of our ability.

This side is puss!
And if you think sirro deserves his spot you're kidding yourself! Even Lovett is a better choice than him now, Lawrence is streaks ahead of him, you talk about defensive efficiencies, if the game is on the line I would much preferred Lawrence is making the tackle over sirro!

When Sirro was dropped a few weeks back but went straight back in with Sue's injury he did not fire up one bit!

He has had 3 years of chances.

We could use Taylor at 9 if required, but you are spot on about Halatau, he should not be there.

As others have said, swap out Frozone for Chee Kam and that would be better, but hopefully the boys will be switched on for the Baby Broncos

I would've given Kev and Halatau the week off also and played Chee Kam in the centres and Ballin to start at hooker and added Fine on the bench… I don't think it will matter anyway Brisbane should still put us away comfortably.
