Wests Tigers team v Gold Coast Titans

I don't think this will be the team that takes the field either
& if up to me Ayshford would'nt be on the wing but overall it's a pretty decent side
Now i pray for a victory 😛ray:

I do not rate or see the poin to having Collis in the team. Ashyford has been playing in the centres and offers so much more. At the least i would of swap Collis onto the wing, make the bloke work for his match payments.

I bet Hanbury will make more meters than Collis.

I would of loved to have seen Josh Davies on the wing instead….big and fast.

Gibbs goes then Skando up front with Little Al to come into the side.

Rhino goes then Dene to play at lock.

So much to look forward to if players are out injured or suspended.

BTW....i think Lui deserves his place in the side. When you have a dominating half and hooker, a young bloke can be over awed or take a back seat in the games until they feel comfortable. I think he has played okay without being outstanding. He was not the reason why we lost on Friday nor was any one else (the whole team played well). The more games in 1st grade the better he becomes.
The eels never had a dominating playmaker so when Mortimer was called up it was easier for him to fit in.

All things considered with the injuries, the starting 13 looks alright, although I'm resigned to losing Gibbs and it sounds like Heighno will struggle to play. That bench will surely change to accommodate the loss of Gibbs. Laurie warmed up with the side last Friday and I reckon he will travel and end up on the bench for Saturday.

Going to be a very tough ask to knock the Titans off at home. Tigers will need to get out of the blocks early and hopefully shut down Prince. Benji upstaged him last year and had a blinder, hopefully he can do the same this week.

Lawrence and Hanbury combination I like

If Sheens sticks with the same formula it will be Lawrence/Ayshford…..Collis/Hanbury which I like better

Doubt this will be the final side. There's still plenty of time for guys like Heighno, Skando, Moltzen, Galloway to be ruled out and I think Sheens is naming them just in case.

Don't see why we're wasting a prop in the second row. Keep Galea in the starting 2nd row and Payten, Galloway or Gibbs off the bench

Best we could have hoped for I guess. Never thought i'd see the day where i'm spewing Beau Ryan is out. Just goes to show how solid the bloke has been on that right flank for Wests this season.

Collis made me vomit, but who else is there? Sheens was never going to bring up Davis or Akeripa and obviously has plans for Halatau as a forward replacement rather than a Centre option. Thank the good Lord Lawrence, Ellis are still on that left hand edge. All Ayshford or Hanbury will be on the end of that is a finisher. That's the 'go to' option all day.

Wests still have their 1,6,7 & 9\. That's the positive, and these players have to fire. Attitude in defence is imperative. Slacken off like last Friday night where the Tigers allowed 5 offloads to lead to a Parramatta try, then you can forget about the Finals altogether, mathematically or not.

If you are serious about Lui being the future he has to play. It takes time to develop into an accomplished first grader. Not a bad side in the circumstances. Agree with most that I would prefer some genuine pace on the flanks. Would like to have seen Pritchard get a go given the raps some give him.

i hope they use Liu to kick, we had 5 kickers capbable of kicking on friday night, and in the end it was rushed kicks by Farah and Benji that went awry.

would be good to get Moltzen and Liu more involved

Really???..Sorry I dont share your sentiment!

the way I look at it, is, that wests-tigers having nothing to lose in this game.
I know it may sound silly, as still vying for a top 8 spot 😛ray:
odds are against them, I bet amongst the critics, that nobody expects them to beat the titans.
the team could do that, if they dig in and play for each other anything is possible.
i hope that the titans think they will only have to kick off to win.

Al Schirnack picked up an injury playing for BRET against the Sharks on the weekend I believe.

Still, Sheens has a reluctance to use lower graders and is only shuffling the decks. Knew this would happen.

My spies tell me Moltzen only trained for a few hours,,AYSHFORD never trained at all, PRITCHARD was seen training on the wing outside collis..

I dont understand why he just doesnt keep young Ayshford at centre and move Lawrence to the wing where he has had some success.

Has Ayshford played on the wing before?

good line-up, maybe laurie could come in if gibbs is suspended. but plenty of pace in the backs and the forwards match up well to the titans
