I think our team will improve coming into winter away from day games with the rules. We struggle against athletic teams. Wet weather or night games will benefit us.

Ash Taylor is out of this weeks match against the tigers

He cut us to pieces last year and is a match winner on his day.Late withdrawal of Tino and Fifita would assist us more???

Busting the line and gaining meters is great, so is drawing your defender, but you don't have to take the tackle before attemting to pass all the time.Now and again just pass the ball along the backs and give them a chance.

We’ve only put in back to back efforts once this year (Vs Knights then Eels). Fingers crossed but I can easily see a GC landslide if Fifita and Tino get a sniff of any weakness.

Eels game we were crap IMO. Any game you concede 36 points in should not be applauded. Our goal line defence I recall was really bad aswell

I'm probably going to get flamed for this but I think last weekend we were flattered by an extremely poor Dragons performance. I'm not criticising the effort as I thought we tried hard, but our execution imo was pretty average.

It wasnt pretty but what Im encouraged by is that we did all the hard things right. Completion rates high, defence good, low missed tackles, field position good. In many ways last week was the exact embodiment of everything that Madge goes on with at the pressers. Completions, simple jobs, process....patience and it paid off.

I think if we can take that platform into our games, we will be competitive and can grow from that base.

Absolutely, as I said I thought the effort was good but I thought Saints were pretty horrible and they lost Lomax which didn't help them. Let's see how we go tomorrow, I hope the effort is the same.
