Wests Tigers Team v Manly Official

I'm looking forward to Brooks running off Matterson - in the trial the try Brooks scored was never an option for us in recent seasons with Brooks running off a running edge forward on the right hand side. Nice one Madge!

Mbye has a posterior cruciate injury , had it for a month or so

Don't know why he played the trial if he wasn't 100 %

Anyway ….

I know that but I doubt thats what Leichhardt Tiger is talking about and I can't see Matterson spending any time at 6 here.
We've got Reynolds and Gamble in front of him, Benji J Rey and Gamble wou all have to be out at once before Matterson sees 6

I don't mean it like that. I agree there is plenty of depth the only way I see him playing in the halves is if there is an injury during a game. I meant I wont be surprised to see some ball play and the odd kick.

If you saw the trial you'll appreciate the move. Brooks ran off Matterson whose ball playing skill was evident. Offloading to a fleet of foot Brooks on the right hand side has never been part of our game plan in the past.

Usually a benefit for us, from recent memory. I don't mind the team - we don't really have too much choice. Would've preferred Liddle on the bench though.

Well, IMO, Maguire certainly has shown his hand with Josh Reynolds.

There is conflicting information coming out of the camp with regards to JR.

Benji said last night on NRL 360 that JR has trained the house down and has been injury free all pre-season, whereas, Maguire gave his reasons for not selecting JR in the top 17 as he has been injured and has only been good the last 2 weeks and he needs get fitter in ISP…hmmmm

In my view, Madge doesn’t see Josh Reynolds as his long term 5/8 to partner Luke Brooks. I think we will see them expedite the development of Jock Madden in 2019 with a view of promoting Madden to the top 30 in 2020\. I see Madge doing the same as what Brad Arthur is doing with his halves in having the up and coming Dylan Brown partnering Moses. A Brooks/Madden combination is what I expect to see in 2020\.

Josh Reynolds will “get the message” that Madge does not rate him and hopefully seeks a Super league contract during 2019.

If true, I agree, the style of game Josh plays as a 5/8 doesn’t cut it in this day and age. He has a poor passing game, a poor kicking game and doesn’t have much speed. His best assets is his support play and displays loads of enthusiasm on the field. For $750k we should expect and deserve more than that!...It’s not JR’s fault he was offered by Cleary a 4year mega contract and who wouldn’t take that.....

Just saw an unconfirmed rumour that masters is out this weekend has his uncles funeral i think. Can anyone collaborate this

Yeah I saw it and it was tops, but I wouldn't call it a halfback "running off" a backrower I'd call it a half supporting a ball carrier.
Like I said halves don't "run off" backrowers, backrowers "run off" halves. Halves support, well…good halves support.

yeah so it on his Instagram, are we allowed to bring in Dylan smith. We could line up like this:
1\. Smith
2\. Thompson
3\. momirovski
4\. Fonua
5\. Jennings

He flew to New Zealand yesterday

Not sure where Benji was interviewed but paraphrasing. He said Madge wasn't happy with forwards fitness which explains the 4 forward Bench and that it won't be a thing every week. Will try find if there's an article

He was on NRL 360 last night and stated 4 forwards on the bench to combat Manly's big forwards and to build some match fitness for the forwards.
