Wests Tigers Team v Newcastle Rd 13

Almost our best side, on paper.

Good to see the 6 finally on Brooks. Surprised but very happy to see Asu starting already.

Just add Twal and Grant back in and it's a much better side.

Mbye at hooker might give Brooks and Benji more early ball, nothing against Grant but... he's the GOAT.

I think we owe Rowdy this weeks game as he has been excellent in the centres the last month for our defence. Plus its his 250th and you know he wont let you down.

Well said! would never let you down

Not enough has been said about Brooks in the number 6. Here’s hoping he has a licence to run.

Yep I like this move. Focus on his running & support play with Benji & Mbye running the team. I wonder how Madden has been training & if he is the future #7 post Benji?

Harry looks like he's been carrying a hand/wrist injury for some time now. He deserves a week off. I'm a bit disappointed Doueihei didn't get one too. It's clear his body isn't right at the moment.

Glad to see Leilua, Packer and Eisenhuth back in the side. Looking forward to seeing what Kepaoa can do. Honestly shocked to see him named and not Jennings.

Who's Jennings

Brooks is a better 6 than 7.
Hope he roams & support play is on.

I like the backline. Attack focused if we have a dry track and play to potential we could score a few.

He certainly is not a 7 so let’s see what 5/8 has in offer .

I think people are reading too much into Brooks changing to 6.

I'm sure he'll play on the left, Marshall will play on the right. Exactly the same as what he was doing early in the year.

I'm really hopeful that he ends up playing both sides of the ruck like he has been when he's been coming off the bench. he looks far more dangerous than Marshall at second receiver and throws a decent left to right.

Garner is a modern day Fulton. Lacks the kgs to make it IMO. (Unless he beefs up like a Tariq Sims did a few years ago).

If Luke is still in our 17 in the years to come then the Tigers will still be 9th place specials

I like the backline. I feel it might actually have some bite. We’ll have to wait and see if it works out.

With AJ picked what does this mean for the futures of Jennings, Smith, Bradley and
Hoffman?

Jennings future is prob elsewhere, Smith hasnt been sited all yr and likely never seen again, Bradley and Hoffman are still on rookie contracts so should be behind a bloke on a nrl contract. Hoffman especially is on a rookie deal again next year

Fults was a much much better player then Garner is.

Absolutely, Fults is a legend. Garner nowhere in that league yet.

Liam Fulton was a great player and if he had another 15 kgs on his frame would have played State of Origin. Garner has to stack on kgs or look for another career path.
