Wests Tigers Team v Newcastle Rd 13

Wow, some big changes. I like it in general. Mbye surely just hanging on out of necessity.. Hopefully his last chance.

Had an odd thought, wonder if Doueihi is scrubbed what the odds are that Mbye will go to fullback, Brooks to hooker and Grub to starting five-eighth?

7659.50 to 1..

I watch the official West’s Tigers team list “eye of the tiger”
Before opening this thread ...
Got to 9 and 🤮

That's exactly what i did.... Was stocked until then :man-facepalming:

Relax and Grant rested with what seem like minor injuries, both expected back next week. Wouldn’t worry about the club pushing players through injury, seems they’ve been playing it save a lot this year.

Pretty happy considering injuries
Would prefer walters not be there, we have lawrence on bench who can cover plenty of spots in a pinch.
Rather another bopper

one front rower on the bench is a massive concern. only way I see it changing is Blore to the right edge and McIntyre back to the bench. Garner deservedly dropped for his pathetic defensive efforts. excited to see a left edge of AJ, Talau, Luciano and Brooks, and most importantly a rejuvenated Joey Leilua

Mbye probably our best option at 9. Was pretty clear to me that Walters and Reynolds didn’t do that well there. Mbye trained there a lot in pre season don’t forget and should go fine. Obviously Harry is first choice

Blore played in the middle last week for a bit I thought. Can easily cover there if need be and it seems like he will.

Coach probably thinks mbye can’t handle 80 in the middle

Has been able to handle 80 minutes all season.

That's because he never bloody does anything!

Should have been dropped.

Can’t see him playing 80 in the middle. He’s not a bad tackler but don’t see him making 40+ a game especially considering he’s played on the edge all year.

Lol I agree

Hoping Talau has a MOTM performances so it makes it almost impossible for Mdud to go back there

I must admit I am nervous for Talau in the centres. His defence there has been an issue in the past and against a good looking knights backline he can’t make mistakes. Will be even tougher with a rookie next to him, hopefully he’s fixed it up though

Madge has now picked two rookies over Jennings this season, one who’s only been at the club a week. Don’t think we will see him in a tigers jersey again, much to the delight of Russell and many others I’m sure

Mbye should be the 14 moving forward . He’s honestly the perfect player for . Can play anywhere from 1-7 and 9 , and is the kind of bloke who wouldn’t crack a sad if it did happen .

I like it - Personally, I’d have Garner and Reynolds replacing Lawrence and Walters....

However, Talau at centre with Asu on the wing along with Brooks at 5/8 gets me excited!

As for our forward rotation...if this is the final team...both Lucy and mac will play 80, huth will play 60 mins and our 3 bench forwards will all play middle roles

I'd probably give Walters' bench spot to Reynolds.

Not a fan of Walters, but that would mean Reynolds coming on at hooker, which should be a massive no no.
