You haven’t made any point at all. I agree there are many players that are on thin ice but there needs to be the players to replace them with in the first place. I’m not sure if you’ve watched any CC games but there aren’t any players there worthy of a promotion.
Basically, you’re very angry with Maguire for not making changes but you have no idea what changes should be made.

I have stated many times in the last few years when people keep saying we have no one to bring in, so what, who cares, you drop the underperformers, replace them with young blokes, reserve graders, hell it doesn't matter, you create accountability.
Keep picking the same players who play poorly 3 out of every 4 games, and that's what you will get, hold them accountable and they might just play good 3 out of 4, if not send them packing Bellamy style.

Some of us are happy to finish 9th every season

@TigersBusDriver agreed, but watching Benj now laughing about how serious Maguire is he needs to, as one of New Zealand’s greatest idols get in masters ear and let him know what’s up. Wouldn’t you prefer that to the coach having to literally break his already limited confidence? Think about it I know it reeks of a losing culture but right at this very point in time there’s no harm in Momi being brought in as well, to see if he has a future with us as much as anything else or lids starting (as most in here already said). Gamble not so much but then again have never been a gambler and feel that this is the make/break year for Brooksy anyways!

The only other drop is Jennings and he could be dropped for nobody as far as I’m concerned😂

Not I, and not you and a few others I see, we can't improve if we keep doing the same thing, Einstein said, "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result", this club must be insane

We haven't got the same result over and over again, though. We've won four games from eight. It's not as if we are 0-8. So there's a different result for you.

We have put on some good performances over the year and you're losing your head over a loss to the benchmark team. I mean, look at the difference in team quality... No shifts or changes are going to change that result, it probably would have made it worse with Gamble and Momi in the side.

So here in coaches corner we drop Jennings and Marsters (teach them a lesson) and replace them with? Crickets?
We run out with an 11 man team?
Great coaching I say.
If you don't have an alternative, don't bag the status quo.

Roosters dropped Mitchell not that long ago. Its not about the Gambles or Momirovski's lol. Its about how guys like Brooks and Mybe would react if they were held accountable for their actions.

Some players come back and go on to be even better. Others you dont renew their contracts and find someone better.

@The_Patriot
All good then. Back to coaches corner.
Who would you drop and who would you replace them with?
Of course remembering that you are now accountable to the WT board and fans.

Momo and Nofa could get a go. And isn't Bradley a winger we have in Canterbury Cup or is he playing in a lower grade? I'm not saying these guys are better players, but options we will consider when players get injured.

But coach is dropping players, Packer, for example. Huth, Nofa.

You are missing the point, this is not about the roosters loss alone, we got belted by over 40 twice in 3 weeks, we should have responded better, we do this every year.
Marsters has had 1 good game, same with MBye, Brooks 2 or 3, there are players right across the park playing bad every other week

So we bring in players like Rochow and Gamble and get flogged. One more loss we can't afford. New players don't want to join us because we look like a joke. Fans spewing because they paid to see reserve grade play. The new players are dropped because they are sub-par, and the old players return feeling "accountable". Grand plan.

I'm not adverse to selective dropping, and could not agree more with Packer taking a rest, but mass sacking is counter-productive.

@Go_You_Good_Things Marsters is kicking decently now isn't he? So if it's goalkicking you are after, no reason to drop him now

It wouldn't be mass sackings if we started this early in the year like the coach should have done, it would have been 1 maybe 2 a week, the so called good players should have been accountable and dropped early in the piece.
Packer is the only one, Grub wasn't dropped he was getting match fitness, Mbye, Brooks, Marsters, our so called stars, have all warranted being dropped at some stage this year, but they never were.

So I take it Maguire is wrong..

Bellamy for all his posturing earlier this week dropped no one..same team that lost with B Smith coming back in after injury..

If you don’t have an alternative, don’t bag the status quo.

Well, since Jennings joined we have been playing with 12 men (so no replacement wouldn't be worse) - however we could put Momirovski in who is a centre (not a winger come centre) and can also kick goals.

One change is a start - no one is advocating mass sackings but I would be putting Mbye and Marsters on notice and telling them that we are one third into the season and one good game from each of them is not good enough.

If you want to accept mediocrity and stay with it - that's ok. I'm not.
