Oh! just great - The clown first up.

It's a fair side. I think MCK would offer a bit more strike than Rowdy off the bench, but Rowdy is reliable and won't let the side down. There's a bit of talent to drop back down to CC which is also positive.

Not sure about Lawrence in the 17, offers nothing in attack, would have liked MCK who has that X factor about him.

You've missed him running into holes off Brooks I see

Unfortunately the ball bounces out of his hands in about 50% of those occasions. Hopefully he's handling has improved over the off season, otherwise yes he runs a good line.

Bit hard catching a ball thrown at 100 kilometres an hour, when your running into a hole at top speed. Maybe Brooks has learned to soften his hands in the off season.

Agreed. However we did score a couple of cracking tries last year with Brooks flat and fast inside pass.

I hope we've been practicing that play religiously this offseason, it's a useful trick that works well against a tired or lazy defensive line.

He only made 2 line breaks all last season. On form no way he gets picked over Chee Kam.

He wouldn’t be in my 17 at this stage. Do you mean the 2018 season? I recall him having more than 2 line breaks. Maybe those two were just very impressive.

Probably the case in some instances but there have also been some very catchable ones I recall.

Thommo has worked incredibly hard this pre season and has actually developed a nice passing game, for me we cannot have both nofo and thommo on the wings, would be the shortest wing pairing....also have a feeling Lawernce may be used in the middle instead of an edge

Momirovski in the 21 jersey smells like an imminent trade to me
Madge doesn't want to risk an Injury to Momirovski now when we are so close to getting Harry Grant
Other wise Momirovski would be in the 17 if fully fit
And that is the ?
Has he fully recovered from his ankle injury

Harry Grant has been named on the bench for Melbourne. If the trade was going ahead it would have happened by now.

Not really . The rumoured reason for the delay is Brandon Smith returning from injury in round 2. Mom's is not vital, like it or not . We can afford to rest him . Melb believe they can't rest grant .
It's as simple as that . If grant gets injured the deals off.

That would be interesting. I'd still pick MCK over Lawrence for that role. MCK has been great for us off the bench.

Agreed especially if an outside back goes down, who plays centre? Love clutch but lawry goes alright too happy with whovever performs...biggest concern is goal kicking

Lawrence is a far better footballer than MCK and we should see improved form from him this year with a proper preseason!

Is that IF he catches the ball ? Rowdy should be playing in the Reggie’s Simple !

Most of our players have some sort of deficiency... Is why we miss the finals always

Not a super et fan but i think on the back end of last year and this years trials he deserves his spot

ET my man ?

Are we taking bets on the amount of penalties he’ll give away?

Going to happen when one of your main roles is to SLOW DOWN the play the ball.

He's about the only player we have than can slow down the PTB, depending on the ref whether he gets pinged or not. The amount of good he does in this area for us far outweighs the odd unjust penalty he gives away imo.

He will give away the least number of penalties as possible in taking control of the ruck, that the run of play requires

I dare say some of these selections are due to pre season efforts. CT at FB and CL on the bench.

Would be unfair for AD to walk into the fullback spot given he's only been here for a few weeks. Sends the wrong message about hard work in pre season

I have no problem with him giving away the odd penalty, he has a name for being one of the best (we have) at slowing down the play the ball, he's so good even the refs watch him a bit closer than other players.
