Brooks will be a massive loss to our side ..simple as that , where will the points come from ....I'd say Saints probably start firm favourites now

Couldn't agree more. Brooks' defence has been outstanding (significantly better than JRey's); his running game is a constant threat (he carved up Saints just two matches ago), and his combination with Garner, which was was posing so many threats on our left edge, will be greatly missed. In fact, last season, his combination with Garner was our only threat on the left.

Add all that to our lack of a quality goal kicker and a rookie #9, and I'm not optimistic.

Just read we are 3 wins 13 losses in games Brooks has been injured since he debuted. Not good stats but hopefully since it’s early in the year it’s not as big a loss

It is not a disaster that Brooks is out imo.

It is a disaster that MCK is in. Maybe he might have to do something this time.

Before you all jump down my neck - winning two games in 76 - is not an excuse.

Wouldn’t worry myself. I think at full strength he’ll be out of the side if the original 17 named is any indication.

Gee our backline is going to be slow without Brooks.

At least I won't have to watch our halfback go to the line with no support because the support is too slow.

So WT win less than 19% of matches without the hopeless half that they say has a poor kicking game and also can't win us a game. Go figure.

I wouldn’t mind him being out if we had a really decent half to replace him. Biggest loss will be the combinations. Let’s not kid ourselves, Brooks doesn’t win us games but he is a competent first grader.

Everybody now panicking are also the ones who were certain Jennings wouldn’t nab a spot... hate to say I told ya so, but

MCK provides great cover and athleticism in the case of injuries. Josh has been with the club for a fair time and obviously (let’s not kid ourselves) has developed combinations and comradery with the boys who are still going out there today - to represent OUR club - whilst having genuine experience and punch with Lawrence, Mik and Mus all not starting on the field. Don’t panic.

That is interesting...who would have been left out of the back 5 had Mbye been available..very curious

I was at Concord yesterday (with West Rugby) and noticed Brooks being pushed around on a trolley, had a big smile on his face so shouldn't be to bad an injury

That is of course the $64,000 question???

I’d say Thompson if he doesn’t perform but more likely to be Nofoaluma if ‘d’ doesn’t improve.

Momirovski is a Chance for Melbourne

Always find this type of comment interesting..to me a good team wins games with everybody contributing...i really can't think of too many teams that rely on 1 or 2 players to win them the game off their own bat consistently ...not very often anyway...

I suppose my point was he doesn't come up with the winning plays when we really need them to take out a close game.
Seems it's always someone else looking for the ball at those times.
Believe me, I wish he did.
