WESTS Tigers Team V St George

Not the best team but it's solid.

I'd pick JAC over Rankin.
Robbie should start at Hooker, Halatau to the bench (he can interchange in the backrow and at hooker), Lovett drops off and Felise comes in.

Still it's pretty close to our best team and we have to win this game.

As per usual the bewildering selections keep on coming some people are untouchable.Hopefully it wont make any difference and we still get a win but its hard to see a big differential in points which is what we badly need.

We have the choice of a match winner or a toiler on the wing so we go the toiler,i will say it again there is a reason the Storm recruited JAC,it's because he is a better winger than Rankin.
Every week Kev and Nofo stuff up but are never held to account,no wonder JAC chose to head south for an opportunity.

It is amazing isn't it, you can throw in Aloiai as well as players who should be dropped, accountability, JT is full of it. :bash

Anyone seen Siro playing recently? Has he been in NSW Cup, I don't usually watch a lot of those games. How's he doing if so? Improving a bit I hope..

He was very good last game. Ran strongly, worked hard in defense and offloaded many times. He earned a bench spot IMO but not to be.

Im starting to think that people aren't realising that Taylor takes Alioai off after his first stint and leaves him off for a very long time. It gives the impression he isnt doing anything. His first stint every week is very strong. Not out of form or should be dripped at all IMO. Very good player.

wait up - does that mean Nofo will be playing outside Simona rather than Kev?
Can;t be any worse defensively.

yup good spot

looks like a change to try strengthen that right edge. or at least even it out

Nah that's how they're always numbered.

ah right, normally 2 and 3 are right wing/centre and 4 and 5 are left

guess they just swap the centres

Fwiw, TT claimed ET would have a roving role in defence, so he could spend some time out there.

This will be strange game to test a new defensive structure and one that wont yield results of a true test.

Red V wont be able to go through on the edges, their real strength is in the middle where most of their experienced players are .

Apart from Nightingale there is no one in that class to pull off miracle plays
If Dugan was there he'd add to the threat but from what i see they will attack our RHS (as other 15 teams do) but they might make their own errors in the process which really wont be a test if ET is a floating 13

Aloaia's problem is that he can't play big minutes but he does make some great hit-ups. I wouldn't drop him either.

Still I'd love to see Siro kill it in reserve grade and get a call up back into first grade.

My 2 cents worth

We dont need big mins from everyone, what we really do require is big impact

Classic example is big Sam K, comes on short stints and makes a huge dent.

I think both AVA and Sue do this well off the Bench
JJ does the same
Grant; i dont see much of a diff if he starts or comes off the bench

and Aloiai forced his way into the starting line by high impact off the bench, i'd be inclined to leave him on the Bench for that reason (high impact)

Unfortunately we dont have too many 80 mins players
ET and CL get the job done but in the last 2 games i have actually seen Lawrence get spent which is not a good sign.

INTERCHANGE
14\. Tim Grant
15\. Ava Seumanufagai
16\. Robbie Farah
17\. Kyle Lovett

Hard to fiddle with the Bench but i'd like to see JJ or MCK there, perhaps 2017 when Dene hangs his boots

If Lawry was a horse, you'd be giving him a freshen. Hopefully the bye has come at the right time.

Yeah mate i'm hoping he is 100% and ready to go.
He actually looked like he was backing up after SOO games..

You got part of the horse bit right
He is a Work-Horse

Why am I the only one who cops so much stick for saying Rankin is a dud (which he is) lol?

Because 90% of your posts are making the same point and it's boring (and annoying).

Wrong. I've made a couple of posts over the past several weeks, but that's about it. I just see things before a lot of other people. They eventually come to see the light though.

Truth must be annoying to you then. On the contrary, you are annoying.
