WESTS Tigers Team V St George

It's gone beyond complaining. It's true that our best side is is rarely selected but, then, what's new? We have to wear the fact that on this occasion Rankin should be dropped for JAC and either Alouai or Lovett should make way for JJ. Anyway, the squad is close to the best and should win comfortably against an impotent St.George side.

Guess JAC doesn't get rewarded for a good performance against the dogs? It's embarrassing we don't pick him every week. Smh

Sorry but apart from the try he scored he was absolutely dominated

Really …...

Don't really see what Rankin offers over JAC but anyway. Otherwise as expected. Should beat the Dragons IMO

I would agree Willow if JAC had moments like the try he scored every week

But I think he ran for less than 70 metres bar the try , and you won't see him scoring tries like that every week

I'm not trying to push Rankin's barrow , but he doesn't get dominated like JAC does because he get low and hits the gap

I agree with Nelson that Rankin is useless. How is he even in the NRL ? The best team should be on the paddock every time. Look what happened to NSW as a prime example, Teddy should have been there Game 2\. Anyhow back on point, JAC can turn half opportunities into tries whilst Rankin makes a habit of bombing try scoring opportunities and cracks like an egg under pressure. He suits the Dragons style of play (boring) more than ours !

We have the choice of a match winner or a toiler on the wing so we go the toiler,i will say it again there is a reason the Storm recruited JAC,it's because he is a better winger than Rankin.
Every week Kev and Nofo stuff up but are never held to account,no wonder JAC chose to head south for an opportunity.

It is amazing isn't it, you can throw in Aloiai as well as players who should be dropped, accountability, JT is full of it. :bash

Im starting to think that people aren't realising that Taylor takes Alioai off after his first stint and leaves him off for a very long time. It gives the impression he isnt doing anything. His first stint every week is very strong. Not out of form or should be dripped at all IMO. Very good player.

Wrong! He's stats are horrible over the last three weeks and not exactly great over the rest of the year…
Certainly not up to starting position. Look at his stats they are poor! He has the potential but he needs time back in the state cup, first grade takes it out of u.
But, he's a great trainer!
I don't still get the love for the other great trainer Lovett, offers very little another bucanan in my opinion doesn't do much wrong just doesn't offer much. Rather Felise...

U lost me at "stats". I watch football, not read football off a piece of paper. No offence to u mate, just that i personally hate basing things on stats. Agree on Felise. He is a star.

Why am I the only one who cops so much stick for saying Rankin is a dud (which he is) lol?

Because 90% of your posts are making the same point and it's boring (and annoying).

Rankin getting selected is boring and annoying .

Probably would have preferred JJ and JAC, but at least there's been a slight adjustment to that right edge…........that's something I guess.

If stats are what you go by, Lovett has been decent for a while now.

Aloiai's workload has dropped some, and I can understand that you don't think he deserves a starting position. I think his starting spot has more to do with balancing our bench and first 13\. We've had less of a problem around the 30-50 minute mark since he started, Grant came off the bench etc.

I also like Felise (I think everyone does!), but I'm glad they're bringing him on slowly. He'll get a crack again soon.

Do you include every time he gets dominated and dragged back 10m every time he carries the ball off our line in that good performance? Can you imagine if that was Rankin? "Oh but JAC runs fast".

I'm sure JAC will turn out to be a better player long term, but in 2016 they are on par. JAC is as big of a liability as some claim Rankin to be. Getting dragged back in tackles, dropping passes with the line wide open, not competing for bombs which lead to tries. He has a lot of talent but has a lot of growing up to do before becoming a regular first grader.

As Ink has previously stated, Maybe the main difference that Jordan Rankin is there, is that he can be used as utility player, and back up goal kicker if required.

Covers all bases for the back line.

I just 😛ray: 😛ray: that wests tigers stick to their game plan and come away with a good defensive performance and solid win

I was okay with Rankin getting the jump on JAC based on the fact that he signed elsewhere for next year, although I rate JAC a better wingman who can only get better. Now after reading the tigers are shopping Rankin around for next year, not sure if it is true but I have read it from a couple of different sources, I find it very strange. If they are both going to be elsewhere in 2017, than choose the best and that is not Rankin. There is not a lot between, they both have different skills, but JAC can win you a match against any team…not sure Rankin can do that

Unfortunately for Rank he is playing out of position, then again i am not sure he would be that great in the halves either, but if you want an outside back that is slow, out of position regularly, reluctant to contest the high ball, gets man handled and pushed back into the ingoal or over the side line then Rank is your man.

I get the feeling he would be a goodish no6 in a good side. I think he has a good football brain, but he is not going to burn the field up with speed and not sure if he has a kicking game, anyway that really doesn't matter with us as we have a no6 who is way better. Anyway I think JAC is a no brainer but the coaching staff must see something we have all missed

Game will be won and lost through the middle, and off the back of a good kicking game. Selection of Rankin is neither here nor there for me
