I would be throwing Brooks into dummy half when Harry comes off. Perfect opportunity atm to see how he handles it. New rules could really suit him late in the game.
He plays best running the ball and playing whats in front of him. He's no good at preempting and setting up plays.

What side has a halfback on the bench ?

Got to get more out of the number 14 no matter who it is. If we just had a forward that could play centre then we could always have four forwards on the bench.

That will be Rowdy next week

Could that be BJ? I think he could devastating as a edge forward. He would add more impact off the bench and if I am being honest, he doesn’t look like the fittest hombre to ever grace a field.

He should be fitter after Madge has flogged him for 4 weeks....lol
Personally centre is his position and lawrance has done a good job since he has been out.

tigers didn't release the photos on their website but on WT's Instagram story there was a photo of Joey and he has slimmed down massively. Madge and Andrew Gray must be killing him.

Need to be a lot fitter to play 2nd row than centre. BJ will never be a forward, Does not have the motor for it.

Perhaps but I do feel more confident with Rowdy there in terms of defence

I'd rather Reynolds over Walters and Walters on the bench instead of Brooks, but I can live with this. Walters is the best defender of our halves but I do think Reynolds offers more in attack.

I do wish Madge would have the guts to drop Brooks altogether. Being on the bench is not really being dropped like he did with Benji. He’s still in the team and a waste of a bench spot imo.

With Blore on the bench, Garner can cover centre if there is an injury and Blore can go into the 2nd row.

I would say that Blore will take Garners spot in the 2nd row at some point and Garner can be the bench player that covers 2nd row and centre and possibly even lock

Carrying a utility/outside back on the bench has become very popular amongst NRL coaches. When your props are able to play more and more minutes it’s not a bad idea. Storm, Roosters, Raiders, Penrith all do it. I think the only top 5 team who doesn’t is eels
