Wests Tigers Under-20s team for 2011

If Woods has a good off season I see no reason why he would not be pushing for a 1st grade spot in the first half of the season ..he is very impressive .

I don't think Woods will start off the bench. The wraps the club has on him are just too high,

ur probably right, but i was a bit disconcerted by the extent of his injury this year, wasnt he originally going to start off in nsw cup with an eye to bringing him into first grade in 2010? i wonder if something similar may happen in 2011\. i hope he just gets a strong off season and stays injury free.

im interested by the recruitment of tagive as you would think that finau and james tedasco would have the wing spots sewn up.

You would also think we had Finau well and truly locked up but I believe Parramatta are interested.

its disappointing to see that the club hasnt locked up a genuine talent, but why would anyone with a real future want to jump abard that sinking ship???

Who is the Keep at all costs emerging player???

its hard to know at this point, but aside from the guys who hav played first grade already, i think Jacob Miller will be a great player as long as he leaves his ego at Bondi. theres also a host of young props coming through, notably Matt Groat, Aaron Woods and Mosese Fotuaika from Keebra Park

Ashin is the best player for me.

add him in your list most probably he can contribute more on the team.

:wahoo:

According to LU (yeah I know, I know) we've signed these guys for the NYC

Jacob Miller - half - Roosters
Matt Evans - Centre - Souths
Mosese Fotuaika - prop - Keebra Park SHS
Evander Waitoa - half - Wellington, NZ
Ratu Marika Koribete - wing - Fiji Bati Squad
Taqele Naiyavoro - wing Otahuhu Leopards
Ratu Tagive - wing/centre - Canterbury NYC

Captain Benji Marshall (R) of the Kiwis poses for a photo with Evander Waitoa from Wellington who has signed up with the West Tigers junior team, during an England and New Zealand Kiwis Parliamentary Dinner at the Beehive on October 20, 2010 in Wellington, New Zealand.

Heres mine:

1\. David Nofoaluma
2\. Ratu Tagive
3\. Lance Siataga
4\. Limoni Kamuta
5\. Finau
6\. Jacob Miller
7\. Liam Ayoub
8\. Neil Begovich
9\. Pat Politoni
10\. Matt Groat
11\. Sean Spence
12\. Mason Talolu
13\. Daniel Ashin

High Praise for David Nofoaluma. Has had a stella year. Still only 16, he's made NSW under 18's and Australian School boys under 18's. He will most likely play out the SG Ball season but after that, watch out for him.

I dont really rate Sironen that highly. He had an average SG ball season and pretty much got into the 20's team through his name and dad. Liam Ayoub and Jacob Miller have too much of a good combination to seperate them.

I think that's a bit harsh. There's been others at Balmain with famous relatives who didn't get much of a run. From the games I saw Curtis Sironen play he looks like a very good player. Personally I was a bit disappointed in Ayoub in 2010.

Murdoch woods sironen and roqica all still elidgable for 20s next year.

You'd think Murdoch would be playing a fair bit of NRL and possibly State Cup when not required. Love to see Aaron Woods get a full season in. The NYC team could have a nice prop rotation going if everyone is fit.

I rate Sironen a better prospect than Ayoub. He came up with one or two good things during the season but had his fair share of ordinary plays in the games I watched him play. Miller and Sirro would be my halves combo with Ayoub as backup. Forward pack should be very strong if Roqica, Woods and Murdoch all play, along with Shaun Spence in the backrow.

i think ayoub is a defensive liability and is a fair way behind the likes of sironen, waitoa and kitt in terms of raw ability. im half expecting woods and murdoch to be pushing for a first grade berth once they have a few games under their belts, but even without them i think that opposition teams will find it very difficut to contain the tigers forward pack. Mosese Fotuaika is not in the same mould as woods, but provides great impact and is a real danger close to the line, reminds me a bit of andrew fifita. the real question mark will be whether the backline will be cohesive enough to compete with the likes of the cowboys nyc who have effectively had the same backline for two or three years. luckily we have no shortage of talent with:
nofoaluma, australian schoolboys and nsw ccc. great to watch with the ball in hand but probably not the best positional fullback at this point in time. best chance is probably at centre
james tedesco, australian schoolboys. plenty of pace and strong out of dummy half, could fill in anywhere in the backline, reads the game well and wouldnt mind seeing him at fullback.
matt evans: bunnies sg ball, prolific try scorer and rated highly by the club, will probably find his way into the team at centre
finau; junior kiwis squad, has already proven his merits and i think hes gotta start either at wing or fullback
ratu tagive; nsw ccc, similar position to finau
ratu marika koroibete; fiji test team; came off the bench and played dummy half for fiji but usually plays in the outside backs, difficult to take down and a solid defender, will probably find his way into the starting lineup if only on the basis that he was being chased by so many clubs
tegele naiyavoro; 18 yearold from south auckland, apparently hes 188cm and 100+kgs, plays on the wing but with that sort of competition i wouldnt be surprised to see either tegele or marika playing in the backrow

Great info….I agree with your thoughts on Nofoaluma and Tedesco. Depends what the coach wants (your not the coach are you?)..if he wants someone like Mullaney who backs up the middle and can kick goals then Tedesco is the man. If he wants a Hayne type player with strength and power then Nofoaluma is the one. But both are very young and would possibly only be given a run after SG Ball.

Billy Kitt is even younger ....I love that kid..has enormous potential....he will respond well to the professional coaching of Grant Jones..Bad luck Wests Harold Mats management... this kid is going to have the last laugh.

Curtis Sironen is without doubt our best 17 year old and is 3 million times better than Ayoub.

 3 million times,,,ok I agree but thats 6million times better than J Flo…

Lots happening and Im impressed at the level of knowledge here ate the WTForum.

Im gonna need an enunciation session to learn how to pronounce these names…

Roquica is turning 21 this year…dont think he will be in the nyc squad...besides i dont think front row is for him...has the speed to play centre but the strength of a back rower
