Maybe a protest at Wests Ashfield. What else is planned, other than a petition?
I have emailed him out of courtesy today to let him know what is going on.excuse my ignorance, why hasn't Simon Cook got involved
You couldn’t be more wrong. Romero and Burgess are both on the HBG board, with Burgess being the HBG rep on the Wests Tigers board. They aren’t just merely Magpies supporters. They hold positions of power and influence and have shown a desire to inhibit progress and good governance practice at the Wests Tigers as evidenced by Julie’s email to O’Farrell and Dennis’ comments about bringing the Magpies back.I'm over Wests Magpies getting a kicking. For a start, Wests Magpies the footy club has absolutely no say or power in this whole cluster f..k. It's the WT board who is the problem. Cochise himself has said that he's been told that Romero and Burgess are pushing for a return of the Magpies. He may or may not be right but, even if he's right, they do not represent the Magpies in any official sense. They are merely Magpie supporters.
As a parallel, Benny Elias has been knocking WT for years but I don't hear anyone saying it's Balmain causing the problem. It's called for what is is, one individual with too much to say.
I answered your post respectfully. Shame you couldn't do the same. The bottom line is there is absolutely no evidence that Burgess, Romero or anyone else from the Magpies are pushing for a return of the Magpies to NRL level. Deflect out of that dope. It's that easy to deflect it all, isn't it.....
I assume the HBG governs the Magpies as well? (There's a direct link between their sites)
And the majority of the Wests Tigers Board are HBG board members?
Why do you continue to blatantly ignore it's the same people?
Most here despise Ben Elias, But he has nothing to do with the Governance of Wests Tigers.
He's nothing but a media mouthpeice, His opinion is no more valid than Paul Kents...
But you hide the failings of the HBG behind him as well....
Like i said in another post - Any chance you blokes ever admit the failings of these people?
Edit:
Burgess is the Chair of the Wests Magpies 'Footy Club'
How does he not represent them - in your opinion?
- In fact 3/4 HBG Members currently in question are represented here also
WSDRLFC BOARD OF DIRECTORS
- Dennis Burgess (Chairman) - HBG Appointed
- Stephen Montgomery - HBG Appointed
- Vince Tropiano - HBG Appointed
- Michael Liubinskas - HBG Appointed
- Allan Fallah - FC Member Elected
- Bob Cairns - FC Member Elected
- Shannon Cavanagh - FC Member Elected

It’s not about kicking the Magpies. This is about ensuring the Wests Tigers are run effectively, with good governance structures and practices in place that create sustainable success.
So Dennis Burgess doesn't represent the Magpies and is just a fan in one post,I answered your post respectfully. Shame you couldn't do the same. The bottom line is there is absolutely no evidence that Burgess, Romero or anyone else from the Magpies are pushing for a return of the Magpies to NRL level. Deflect out of that dope.
Mate, read my post. I support this. I just object to Wests Magpies being embroiled in this without a shred of evidence, by Cochise's own admission, that this is a Wests Magpies-sourced issue. The two problems are incompetence by some Board members and protection of entrenched power by Board members. You couldn’t be more wrong. Can I bring my Balmain jersey?Maybe a protest at Wests Ashfield.
He seems like the only sane 1 ,that used to be in the roomexcuse my ignorance, why hasn't Simon Cook got involved
I can definitely see you support the Wests Tigers having successful governance structures in place.Mate, read my post. I support this. I suspect Burgess and Romero are guilty of both.
why not pass it off as nonsense, instead of mounting your white horse defending the maids honour, which just detracts from what is trying to be achieved here?I bleed white n black, the future for us all so has orange involved. Half the fan base is to young to remember any real good times or the rubbish some carry on with ,yet its their time now ,let them have it.Relax oldtimer its in capable hands ,as far as the fan base goes, finger is hurting, brain more so,CheersI answered your post respectfully. I said in earlier posts I'm happy for Burgess, Romero and anyone else to be removed from the Board for incompetence. I never want the Magpies to return to NRL level. I'm happy for firsts, reserves and Flegg to play as Wests Tigers. I'm just not going to find someone guilty of something because somebody else heard it from somebody. Imagine running a jiudicial system like that. Deflect out of that dope.
I'm no supporter of Romero or Burgess and would be more than happy to see them go but for incompetence and their part in the failure to implement the appropriate review recommendations. Nobody representing Wests Magpies has ever, in an official capacity, advocated their return to the NRL.
Reply all you want but I won't be communicating with you again until you learn basic manners.
Can accept most of that except the "oldtimer" bit.why not pass it off as nonsense, instead of mounting your white horse defending the maids honour, which just detracts from what is trying to be achieved here?I bleed white n black, the future for us all so has orange involved. No worries mate. You were respectful in disagreeing and I have no problem with people holding alternate views to mine. You're spot on in saying we all support the best outcome for WT. Let's hope we get it.I can definitely see you support the Wests Tigers having successful governance structures in place.
I think we’ll have to agree to disagree about the source of the issue. I guess I see it as a HBG issue given that it is the debenture system that has allowed Burgess to rejoin the board and that HBG board members have presided over a decade of failure at Wests Tigers (not to say that Balmain are any better running themselves to financial ruin by a lack of strategic direction, laziness and financial incompetence).
Sorry if I was harsh too. We’re all Wests Tigers supporters and we all want the club to have ongoing, sustained success. It’s important that we all stick together at this point especially since we all want the same thing.
They are two completely different things.I'm over Wests Magpies getting a kicking. For a start, Wests Magpies the footy club has absolutely no say or power in this whole cluster f..k. I’d sign anything you said was beneficial to making the changes required at the top of our club. Keep pushing them. 👍🏻👍🏻This action is crucial for the future success of our club, the aim is to get all supporter groups working together to push for change.
Once we get the petition up, please sign it but then also encourage any NRL fans you know to sign it as well.
If you are unsure about the importance of this have a listen to the pod we released this morning where we go into detail on why we need changes at the HBG.
My head is clear thanks. They are two completely different things.
Clear your head and think about it
You are comparing a fan talking shit in the media (Elias) with 2 influential people in decision making positions of power. They are not even in the same galaxy. My head is clear thanks.
