No there wasn’t !! The team played to the game plan . We lost the game because we lost our composure at the end , and lost key moments , because we weren’t composed .

I have to say , I don’t think Laurie is a fullback . He’s fine for attack , but his number calling and man management out the back , as well as his honestly , lack of desperation , that the truely elite fullbacks have , leads to goal line points .
Papenhuyzen just had it . He learnt a lot picking Billy’s brain sure , but he had it in u20s as well . And I actually see “it” in Dillon .

They really needed to gas the storm after the 1st half possession . The top teams put away the game in that situation or gas the opposition so when things swing second half they still have the edge . Use of bench crueled the team imo

Nah I don’t think any one player lost it or Madge. It was down to crucial errors at critical moments. This is game of momentum. We had it for big parts and gave it to them too easily. We just aren’t mentality giants.

He doesn’t read the game well enough, not good as last line defence, and doesn’t chime in attack enough. He reminds me of Hodgo with his size and guile, but that’s where it ends.

Then the old Tigers losing feeling began to remind me that even if we look better than last season,

It’s so important especially as a middle who is tiring . Being told to move left a bit , whilst your barely able to catch your breath, is the difference between solid D and not .
And because the middle isn’t compressed the edges compress and it leads to overlaps .
Thompson , is exactly what I’m talking about is required from an elite fullback defensively .
When he was here our defence was tight . We just couldn’t score , because he had no ball skills .
