Daine Laurie? I didn't know he was still around.

Man, I was convinced he was going to be a star.

Lol still remember the game agsinst Melbourne, Farah broke into the clear, drew Slater and gave off the most simple pass to Laurie who was in under the sticks and he dropped it cold.

He had so much raw potential but don’t think his head was in it. Could have been a bigger cult figure than Tuiaki.

Wasn't it Ellis who threw the pass ...from memory it was during SOO

@willow already pointed that out..toady..

So you didn't point it out ...figures

I should be a Mod ......couple of them are over the hill

a lot of unfimiliar faces in there

did some research on some of them..a number of poached eels and pamfers

Their from the West thats good enough to qualify them as a local junior

Interesting to see how the likes of Dillon, Kei, Cini, Lui and Hoffman go. Straight in without having played CC. But all will likely be seeing a lot of CC throughout the year while pushing for first grade in the not too distant future.

Both teams with young squads

Who’s going? I’ll be there. Love to meet some of the people I chat with each day/night!

I doubt i be going to this one as i swore off that place after our last game there but maybe later in the season.

I’m keen to see Doueihi, Walters, Musgrove, Hoffman, Simpkin and Luciano have a run more than anyone

Is Scholari too young?

A lot of posters have huge raps on him

Only one way to find out

I could be wrong but I understand Dillon and Scolari were told at training this week they were playing. Dillon is on a development contract, Scolari isn’t so needs to get the insurance paperwork sorted.

So won’t be surprised if Scolari gets a run. There are so many good young players in the named squad so I also see that it’s hard to fit them all in.

Felix Smith, Mavonni, Wilson etc - would love to see them all if it were possible. As I said earlier, Fenn is a good style of a forward - big, rugged and tough who came across from Manly last year. Won’t be shocked if he stars in CC this year.

Keen to see how Seufale develops this season too. Looked good in the few games I watched last season.

I’ll be watching on the telly if I can work out how to connect it to the internet!!! The joys of getting old. The coat hanger may have to come out through the window.

Certainly we have outstanding talent and the means and coach with the boys to keep them.

It's also why no squad has been names in Flegg for the trial. They have a massive squad too so it allows the new faces in Flegg to get a run. Though i wouldn't be surprised to se some players play 20-30 mins in Flegg and then get the last 10-15 mins of the NRL trial. Whilst many players listed in this trial will end up in CC or Flegg to start the year.

Haven't seen it announced that Dillon is on a development contract but it's quite possible that both he and Lui are on them to advance their progress.

I've said for quite some time we seem to be on the right track over the past couple of seasons compared to previous. The hardest part is that we might have to wait until next year and beyond to see the current crop reap rewards for the club. Slow and steady wins the race - the
problem is, the fans feel we have been going slow and steady for too long now so the pressure and lack of patience is understandable.

Not all will make it but hopefully more will than in recent years. I have faith in Madge, Snoop and Chops who are all doing a great job in my opinion.
