Wests tigers Vs Sharks round 1

I wonder whether it's at Shark Park or one of our home grounds? Can any one confirm this? He said 'sharks vs tigers' but hardly specified. No urgency, the draw's being released tonight anyway.

A danger game this one, Fifita in particular will fire up, like so many of our former players, we could make him look like a world beater. On the other hand, this is a team we've dominated in the past, so perhaps it's not a bad one to draw first up.

7.00pm

Fifitas only young and plays a [position that takes longer to mature, he'll be around for a while imo…some sense will sink in somewhere along the way

It fits given what we already know as confirmed re: Rd 1.

Sunday we'll know for sure, or is it sat nite now?
At least if it IS the Sharks its unlikely to be a MNF imo

Saturday night at Shark Park i reckon

It does matter who we play or how Fifita is going to play, if we're going to go on about 'our team of internationals' we have to show for every game and dominate from round one. No better game to start of with than the sharkies with Fifita, Gibbsy and a team of new recruits.
Just quietly, I hope Gibbsy has a blinder

8.00 for us north of the border who don't want to wake our cows up early thanks

At least we care about our livestock …..Unlike you Mexicans

Looks as though the Sharks learnt nothing from the Cuthbertson saga. Fifita will be the next Cuthbertson for the Sharks. A player who has performed playing 20 minute stints off the bench and making a significant impact. This impact he has made from the bench won't transfer into his performances in the starting side. His loose and often lazy defence around the ruck combined with his poor fitness will be his downfall. Unless he has a great off season and really gets stuck into it, I can't see him setting the world on fire. I'm exclusively tipping his first game against us to be filled with penalties and rushed defence that will lead to missed tackles.

Actually Fraze I thought Fifita's defence was the one thing that was on the improve and his tackle count was usually fairly good and effective

I've always just thought he looked rather lazy in defence, seems slow to get back into the line and usually turns his back to the play the ball. His strengths are in his running, with that huge fend and great offload. If you could get him fit and motivated he could be anything. Doesn't matter what team or coach he plays under only Fifita will determine how good Fifita will be. I just can't see him being more than a Dean Widders/Adam Cuthbertson type of impact player from the bench.

Have to agree with Happy. His defence, particularly lifted when he started games, I'll give him that. The problem was though that he was playing big minutes and was completely rats arsed by the end of the game, during which he would have zero impact with the pill because he was defending far too much.
