Honestly I’m not biased , have people actually looked at the bulldogs team ? Not 2022 but 2021 ? Or the warriors , or the dragons , or the cowboys , or last years spoon got worst ie. the broncos . Or manly . Or Parra , who basically have no centres all of a sudden . Or the Sharks who are missing thier only attacking spark for 2 months . Even the Titans have no backline . They can sign all the forwards in the world , but it’s AJ brimson and not much else .
Actually I don’t know why I’m complaining , this is great for betting purposes . How much are we paying for the 8 if we are spoon favourites ?

I’m with you Siro. I want to be excited about this coming season but I really feel it’s going mg to be a fair bit of pain for a long term gain.
Points to note.
Our superstar juniors have not played one game together.
Those that like to think we can do something similar to Penrith last year need to really watch more than just the tigers play nrl.
That NRL Panthers side is made up of 2x Grandfinal winning lower tier sides. Plus the influence of Premiership winners Tamou, Korisoui and Tetevano.
Who besides Tamou is our premiership winner?
Then our strike players.
Douiehi, MBye, Roberts and Joey.
One rookie, one steady but unspectacular, and two hot and very cold superstars.
1 hooker that is yet to put more than 10games in a row together and a rookie Hooker that hasn’t played for 18 months.
Add our young recruit Stefano who got 3 games last year.
My assessment is there is plenty of potential there but if we don’t have a stable base it can go incredibly bad for us.

1 - Our spine is very poor. AD and Liddle are still realistically unknown in their positions, Brooks form the past two years hasn't been great, and we don't even know for certain who the fullback will be
2 - Our centre pairing are well-known for rocks and diamonds performances.
3 - Our forward pack has a lot of potential, but not much in the way of consistency (e.g. will Tamoa be able to bring over his Panthers form, will Joffa be able to return to form, will Blore/Stefano/Luciano continue to improve etc)

There are some huge IFs throughout our 2021 squad, which is why punters have placed us in the bottom four. However, IF things do go our way:
1 - Brooks returns to his Dally M Halfback form
2 - Jimmy the Jet forces his way back into Origin and Nofa alongside with him. Joey has a full season without doing anything stupid and becomes a damaging ball runner again
3 - Tamoa gets every one of our young forwards playing head and shoulders above what they thought capable and we become a forward pack to be feared.

Alot of IFS, but I'm hopeful.

Kicking game will be our Achilles heel and Iam talking long,short and goal kicking. I don’t see anyone out side Brooks who has a kicking game and Brook’s kicking game is only average. Maybe AD might surprise but I think it will cost us big time

If you map out loses and gains of squads and submitted an estimated wins / loses table based on certainty of past team and individual performances you would find we sit in a the bottom four.

mainly due to the fact that people are unsure where our points will come from with no Harry and no Benji, we have no recognised fullback or hooker and a lot of what ifs surrounding the likes of Joey, Roberts, Brooks, Doueihi, Joffa and the rest. I personally think we're about 10th on paper and could go higher if we get it right, but to be fair I understand why people have us around the bottom 4 before a ball is kicked.

Agree with everything you say. And the top 6 sides from last year still have really strong packs of forwards. Ours pack is improved this year but is it up to matching those teams? We need to improve the squad with the 3 roster spots we have remaining, trouble is no difference makers are available in the positions we are lacking. 10th is around the money.

I can see Parra dropping out aswell. Their draw was insanely favored last year. Gutherson is nothing more than a hard slogger, ie his work ethic is second to none which makes up for his lack of skill

Mitch Moses will fizz out and for all the talk about Mahoney he's really nothing more than a tackling machine. Doesn't offer much in attack. I think Brown is the only real x-factor in that spine

I will give their forwards credit, RCG and Paulo on their day are deadly. But theres a reason why Arthur hasn't got Parra past week 2 during his tenure, average coach
