After membership, merchandise, food and drinks …. I spend close to $1k per year so I'd like to think I get some sort of enjoyment out of doing the right thing by the club. Sadly, I can only see tough times again in 2014.

Above doesn't include away games.
As you can see, $1,000 isn't hard to burn but it goes to the club and as a fan I feel I'm doing my bit.

I've flown to Sydney on two 14 hour business class flights (about $6500 a pop) to watch two games over the last few years. One was the heart breaking semi final vs the Warriors, the other was the one at the SFS vs the Roosters in 2012 when we got flogged. I would say I am bad luck, but then again I didn't go to any games in 2013 and we had our worst ever season.
Ok I didn't fly just to see the games, but I did change my schedule a bit and saying I came for the games makes it a much better story. From memory I came for weddings each time and everyone's still married so I'm not bad luck after all.

Petrol as well now, Im suprised you didnt include wear & tear on your footwear into the equation.
Including one of lifes staples - food & drink- (which was my original point) says it all….the fact you added all this up also says a lot....you can have your little pissing contest, give this man the number one ticket.
