What age did you start feeling old?

when i realized all my friends started windghing about their ailments.
old age was fun for about 5 years and then i started falling apart

40s, where I still am now.

We have a Google device in the kitchen that displays photos and I've just started to notice that I look really young in photos that I used to consider quite recent.

The photos are well known to me but at some point recently I suddenly realised "hey I really don't look like that any more".

In terms of FEElING old, physically, this year. I've had to start doing exercises not to be trim and fit, but to stave off joint pain. And the first time I've had to have the chat with the doctor about my cholesterol.

Also this is the first year I put a significant lump sum into my Super! Had that chat with the financial advisor as well.nold people chats.

Not to mention on of my son's mates recently said to me, resisting my feedback: "yeah but you are old!".

I was thinking about it just now after our son had moved my reading glasses, and recalled the first time that I felt old was when I noticed presbyopia as an issue at around 43yo.

Having thought that my vision was perfect, then on a dark rainy winter afternoon I was checking if the side of a door opening was plumb with a 2m level and realised that I couldn't see the bubble properly, but could upon moving away a little.

No doubt there are plenty of others here that have realised something similar and tried to get by without glasses until their arms length was no longer enough to read properly.
