What did we get in return?

An inbred uncle again bad mouthing the club he supposedly loves in the media

Sick of him, now his nephew is gone hopefully he can stop talking about us. But I am sure he will take a jab when ever he is given the chance.

Once he played the mental health card the club cant do much but give up. If he decided to harm himself because of it the blow back would be huge.

Mental health is an issue, saw it alot in one of my previous jobs. If it is such a big issue realistically he should be stood down and have to seek out help but no he is all smiles now.

Not making excuses for him because it appears to be total rubbish and they just using it to get what they want.

Exactly, he should have immediately been stood down and taken to a psychiatrist for a professional assessment of his mental state. Of course he would never have gone because it was basically BS just to get his way.

Nothing except getting rid of a selfish, self scented and disloyal little turd who was really starting to effect the team as a whole. Good riddance, karma will catch up to him.

Really disappointed in this decision by the Tigers. It's a given that he couldn't have played FG for us again but he should have been sent to reserves to play out the rest of his contract, a contract he signed. Players are not above the club. The club is bigger than any player, whether they are named Tedesco, Woods, Benji, Prince, Addo-Carr or whatever.

Why should another team gain a player (albeit a poor one) mid season for free when we get nothing. It's besides the point that he is a terrible player. A player cannot demand anything of a club I don't care who the hell you are.

He signed a contract. If it was the other way around and we wanted to release him mid season against his wishes we'd be liable to compensation.

By releasing him and giving in to his immature and selfish demands we are made to look spineless and weak. We are seriously the joke of the NRL.

Could any of you imagine Bellamy, Des, Sticky or Wayne giving in and releasing a player mid season who acted like he did? No bloody way.
Unless we got something (or someone) out of this that hasn't been revealed yet, this decision just beggars belief and shows what a pathetic, amateur club we have become.

I think the point is that though lots of fans would ride the emotion and take pleasure from seeing Moses rot in reserves, the reality is $250K is a lot of cap space to set aside. You are biting your nose to spite your face there.

Sure players are being somewhat incentivised to act up if they want out of a contract, and maybe that gets worse from here on end, but the reality is if you compel someone to see out a contract that they don't want to, no matter how much moral high ground you have, that person is a very good chance of underperforming towards misperforming and starting to be a negative asset. Then you are keeping them on just for principle.

We got the chance to see him shine in his first game with the eels , then we all know how much he tanked the last couple of games , yep a player you want at your club , NOT , he will get what he deserves , we are better without him or any other player who is not on Ivan's Big Bus , screw Moses , he is a grub

Can't wait to watch him play for the Eels this weekend. I envision him playing quite poorly, and him copping it from the fans. Exciting

Josh Papali has taken a liking to running at him during us conceding 150 pts against playing Canberra. Probably more of the same.

Papalii's sizeable kneecap colliding ferociously with the bridge of Mitchy's nose this weekend would be like a fair dinkum modern-day fairytale. Please make it happen Papa!

We got nothing. The club showed how spineless they are by giving into his demands. The decision makes no business sense at all.

I'll disagree with you there. Giving him up for nothing might not be the best football decision (though arguably with his efforts the last few weeks it has been), but allowing the drama to play on week in, week out with constant media speculation and the ever-present welfare shadow hanging around makes perfect business sense. The Tigers as a business and financial operation serve only to gain by moving him on now.

I reckon we got some peace. Moses is gone and Teddy and Woods have made their decisions. We might actually not be in the media for a while for off-field dramas….I'll take that!

Hahahaha we can only hope

If we had stuck it in reggies, its manager and uncle would have made certain that the media had a field day with WT. The poor mentally unstable boy etc etc.
The timing was actually good. By having the really satisfying dump when they did, it showed up its little 'poor bugger me act' for exactly what it was. Uncabenny then had to come to the media to try to spin it. Its a good show and puts the whole family values on display.

I would be front loading Chris Lawrence's contract with the extra $$ freed up by Moses leaving.

Might make it easier to cut-back his extended contract by a year or so, assuming he agrees.

Love the bloke but he peaked a long time ago and will never see those heights again.

Lawrence's is contract is taken up now by the Long Serving Player allowance that sits outside the Cap..

I think the $$ will be used on the mid season transfer of Lolohea or someone and extending the likes of McIlwrick or Liddle…

What, the whole contract is outside the cap??

Great if it is, but i thought you received a % discount, rather than a total exemption.
