What ever happened to..

Bubba Kennedy was no spring chicken when he joined the Balmain side from the Bathurst Penguins, now well into his 40's he's still playing in Group 10, he's currently with Mudgee Dragons but has had a season with nearly every club in the Group with the exception of maybe the Orange clubs CYMS and Hawks.

Yeh david makes an ok Pizza. I went to look at a property for sale the other day, I got out of the car and David was there to look at it too. He looks to be in good shape too, he wasn't too bad a player.

I stumbled on this thread after the current (2012) where are they now thread reminded me of David Baysarri. ha ha ha the memories.

Balmain used to win about one out of 5 or 6 games and when they did they would knock off the best teams. Pitty they'd let 50 points in the following week or 2.

I remember Baysarri having a lot of natural talent but being dreadfully inconsistent and doing some atrocious things. I remember him missing heaps of shots at goal from in front or adjacent to the post - some he's miss by 20 metres.

Bubba Kennedy lol

I got a #3 on my jersey in 98

my first jersey, prior to that mum and dad would only ever splash out on Tigers socks

What about Mark Afflick, Gary McFarlane or Michael Brown who used to play about 3 games a year whenever Benny was on rep duty.

Michael Brown was Benny's understudy and was expected to fill Benny's boots after Ben pulled the pin at the end of 1994, however Brown only played a handful of games after that owing to the signing of Darren Senter.
Afflick joined the Magpies later on while McFarlane had joined the Tigers from the Magpies, where are they now?.

Hudson Smith, Greg Barwick and Greg Bourke were part of a golden era. I remember being in the rain @ Penrith Park on a Sat night and Bourke converted a Bubba Kennedy try from the sideline to win it. I left Panthers at 4am and caught a Cab home to Liverpool and got my car the next day.
