What I hope Potter brings in 2013 !

What I'm hoping Potter brings to the WT's in 2013 in a slighly varied style of play.

Our play with Sheens evolved into a throw the ball about style of play without a great deal of structure,

Our forward play consisted of forwards charging into the marker to I assume try and tire them out with a high workload.

Forward play has to evolve beyond that, as epitomised by the Dogs this year.

Would love to see some forward rushes with interpassing between the players.

We have the players to do this style of play with Wooda ,Anasta, Blair and even Big Red capable of moving the ball.

We don't have to lose the backline flair just augment it. If we can broaden our style it will allow us to progress a lot further.

Its going to be interesting, both Mick and Symmonds Coached at Saints, and that Clubs philosophy was to attack but also had a fluid scrambling defence , when it worked it was great spectacle to watch as long as it wasn't your Team on the receiving end. Mick didn't try to change it too much during his tenure, but Symmonds tried to change their on field Culture, and it failed badly, Player Power was partly behind his leaving, I don't think Mick has to change much with the Tigers initially and in Symmonds has someone who knows the systems that Tim Sheens used! As long as the players buy into his style of Coaching and Philosophy then the Team will have success, but nothings a given, so it could be a Maguire success or a Kearney disaster or maybe a Benny middle of the road seaso, I feel that he Tigers will do a lot better this season with less off field distractions and injuries being minor for a change!

I hope Potter brings a clipboard.
Very studious look, a coach clutching a clipboard.
We could be winless heading into Origin next year, but if Potter keeps a firm hold of the clipboard … I'll remain positive and even confident*.

* confidence is solely reliant on it being a jet black clipboard ... If not, then I'll only remain positive.

Ahhhh…fantastic!! Very funny. But I thought the post earlier about our forwards "charging into the marker" was also funny. I didn't see a lot of "charging". I hope Potter makes that a reality for us. Forwards who LOOK like they are charging into the line (markers). Instead of me having to turn to my mates and ask "Why don't our forwards do that"??

As long as we don't see footage of him in the sheds at halftime ranting and raving lining up empty plastic drink bottles showing players what the opposition was doing or what he wanted them to exploit like Smith did at the Roosters this year, very funny stuff. Who would want to be a coach, it's hard enough getting the young tin lid to listen to me let alone having 17 players on the same page.

I hope he brings his brother Harry to few games. My kids will be doubly excited Togo to the games. Maybe some Kridditch for halftime entertainment.
