What is a successful 2026 for the Tiger's

I have had to have a rethink about what is a successful year I wanted 12 wins maybe a spot in the 8 but a solid year with pushing for a top 8 finish next year


But after the start to the year with 17 games to go for the Tiger's I am hoping for another 8 wins from 17 games and we have two byes that's 32 points and would give us 8 position last year
 
Top 8 wld be considered a success by any measure after 3 spoons and a 13th
Almost inconceivable at the beginning of the year
Were well on track to do this,but injuries and suspensions' have been favorable so far,as has been our draw

We have one of the best forward packs in the comp..some really good outside backs and a better than ok fullback
Have a lot of $$ invested in the halves ,which are still not working

That just shows that they haven’t been watching us closely.
We should have played finals last year.
This year the boys are more experienced, more settled and their coach has stood up through necessity.
I’m not surprised at all with this start….in fact I’m a bit dirty we dropped the games we did.
 
Not sure about ladder position, but for me I just want the team to be respected by other teams and fans. Even now other supporters make excuses about an easy draw and Injuries out. I want other teams to have to play to their best to win.

It will take 2 consistent years for us before other supporters , the media and other clubs except the former 3 time wooden spoonners are the real deal now are considered a force or 1 year if we can win the 2026 grand final.

Yeah, I don't know about playing finals last year and it depends what you think a 'successful year' means, I think it's reasonable to suggest a top ten finish would be a succesful year for the Tigers and making the eight would be more then successful.

I'm a little surprised with your abiding belief in the team, because didn't you have some question marks over AD, the teams halfback?

I didn’t like AD when he was our fullback or centre.
In the halves though, he has lived up to his promise and is improving.
I think he was in our top 3 last year and is our best again this year.
He may not be a typical halfback and is still too much of a hog, but by the Jesus if he wasn’t in our side these past 2 years, we would have half a dozen more games with an L next to them at a minimum.

Interesting to see what happens with AD and Twal's contract's it's not unlike a manger to come and ask for more money because they are playing above the 400K contract's

He even dug into the line a bit last game to provide some depth in attack Tuck, his ears must have been burning from all my whinging through the week.

He has a strong running game no one can deny that, just needs to time it better and bring more passing into his game when its on.
 
Forget about the last few years ,Looking at where we are at the moment, to not finish in the 8 this year will be a fail. If they dominate the first 1/2 of the season and fall asleep towards the business end its a fail .
