What is Tedesco worth?

I was just thinking what sort of money he is going to command on his next Contract, is $800,000 - $900,000 a Season about right?
With him more than likely set to play Origin, I'm really nervous of our chances of retaining him as his value will hit the roof and the demand will be there for his services.

I hope the Club prioritise Teddy as him being more of a priority than Brooks and Moses.
I would hate for the Club to come out with a Statement such as " We really tried to keep Teddy but after extending the Contracts of Brooks and Moses we just couldn't match the offers from rival Clubs ".

Thoughts on his value?
 
With the cap increase, he'll command close to 1 million. The club is going to have one hell of a struggle on their hands to convince him to stay on.

Yeah I'm thinking the same and like you said the other day, I'm preparing myself for the worst.
I will be filthy if we lost him cause we prioritised in signing our halves.
Easy said than done but I would be telling Brooks and Moses that no extension on current deal and we will talk this time next year, the option is in the players favour so they hold the Ace card….but just no extension for now.

Aaron Woods is also off Contract next year 😱pen_mouth: Crikey great planning.
 
i reckon we could get away with giving him around 800k on the cap plus a fair few TPAs.

He'll also get 100k+ from rep footy
 
They should be signing him now for 2018 and onwards. 900k per year for 4 years + a meriton apartment from a 3rd party sponsor with no affiliation to the club.
 
He is easily our best player. We need to retain him and then build a good team around him.

I have no idea what he is worth but it's a lot more than Woods, Robbie, Brooks and Moses.
 
Halves command the most money and I expect Moses to be right up there based on what he has demonstrated this year.

Dugan is way ahead of Tedesco for the fullback position in SOO. Based on what Dugan has done at SOO he should be just about the first player picked.
 
He will get a mil

With having our whole roster off contract next year with the exception of Sue and ET we will be able to retain him, don't forget Farah is on almost a mil atm

You really don't like Tedesco do you? Is Wighton still ahead of him for fullback as well?

No Gallen first ..Farah second that is the order by Daley remember, Dugan was alright a few seasons ago but Teddy has the X factor something Dugan has never had .Unfortunately the quote what he has done at SOO is the reason NSW struggles to win a series ..what you have done is past history the selection criteria should be what he is going to do this series ,and then NSW might start winning series not trying to rely on past efforts .

Please tell me your Kidding? Dugan is way ahead of Teddy…..No way.

Moses right up there in what POTENTIAL? consistently on a weekly basis should not be getting anything more than $400,000 per year, anything more for a 21 year old with 40 games experience is ludicrous money.....but if the demand is there and Clubs believe in his Potential? Well they will certainly pay overs.

It just comes down to demand and supply.

Halves command more money and Moses will be highly sought after. A great little player now and imo likely to become our best (if he stayts).

I would not be surprised if Dugan and Wighton are ahead of Teddy for origin. That probably goes a long way towards explaining why we have won 1 series in the last 10 years and got beaten by 50 in that last game played.
 
Yes he is worth 1 mil,but I think retaining Brooks and Moses will play a big roll in keeping teddy,which going on current form leaves us in a bit of a catch 22.

Maybe Dugan and Wighton are ahead of Tedesco for SOO but Tedesco is a better player than both of them. Moses is so far away from Tedesco's class it isn't funny. Moses is at this point unproven and I reckon he has the potential to be great for us. Potential though doesn't mean anything.

If we can offload the halves we should be breathing a huge sigh of relief. Someone wedged us into a corner with their contracts and when it comes to resigning Tedesco , he should be our main target.
Neither of the halves are worth the money that they're contracted for, and certainly not anything higher , Rankin could cover one of the spots, and we could get someone better or just as good to cover the other one,

We can't dig up another Fullback or try scorer like Tedesco.
We don't need the worlds best halves, just good ones, and there's nothing to say ours will be either. They can be replaced,
Tedesco can't
